First of all thank you so very much for watching my videos and subscribing to my channel I truly appreciate it. The colour is so beautiful and suits this car perfectly. I am sure Mario will be thrilled to hear that his Monza still makes us stare at her in awe.
Richard, First of all thank you so very much for watching my videos and subscribing to my channel I truly appreciate it. My intention for the videos is to allow ´ordinary people’ like you and I who love cars an opportunity to speak about their love of their car and why that car means so much to them. After all we are all the ´caretakers’ of our cars (as Jay Leno rightly says). It is certainly a rare option. I too had never heard of one until Mario came along.
What a fantastic car this is. didn't even know about the Corvair until watching this video. As always great content and always so much fun to watch. my favorite youtube car channel by far.
Fantastic video of a great car that was killed off by Chevy way too quickly just like the Fiero was. This just shows how special these cars are today and great to see owners like this taking care of these beautiful cars.
First of all thank you so very much for watching and subscribing to my channel it means a lot to me. Mario is certainly a really cool guy or as one person commented CHILL .. he is truly a Gentleman 😀

Very nice ! & tastefully done mild custom 1963 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Convertible with allot of tasteful upgrades! If this has the original power plant going by the cross flags on the rear deck lid this would be a 145 C.I. with the optional 102 HP engine for 1963 ! The 1963 Monza Convertible was the most produced convertible since its introduction in 1962 & 1969 was the last year , total U.S. production for 63 convertible was 44,165 , & Canadian production was 693 . These numbers do not represent the Turbo Monza Spyder Convertible models those come in at U.S. production 7,472 , & I have no data on Canadian numbers for 1963 , & they only show 1964 Canadian production number of 154 Turbo Monza Spyder Convertibles being produced. Thanks for the video on this very nice 63 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Convertible.
Venice.. first of all I would really like to thank you for watching my videos and subscribing to my channel I truly appreciate it. Thank you also for your comments. You certainly are an aficionado on the Corvair. I appreciate your insight. I little heads up..you will be seeing more of Frank’s cars soon on my channel plus another Corvair coming too 😀
Ronald.. first of all I would really like to thank you for for watching my videos and subscribing I truly appreciate it. Thanks for your input too. You seem to know the Corvair well. For me meeting Mario and him showing me his gorgeous car just blew me away. Awesome car.

@@ClassicCarChitChat I really enjoy watching your videos! It's cool to hear about the cars and how people have improved/modified/restored them, but also really cool hearing the stories of where their rides have taken them and what memories they've made in them! If you could reach out to the owner and let me know, I'd be super appreciative. I'm considering this exact wheel/tire setup on my 64 Corvair, but would potentially be outside of the "ideal" backspacing. The Ansen Sprints I've found that'd fit are 15x7 (4x4.5 bolt) with 4" backspace (about 0.5" backspace shy of ideal). That's fine with me, just wondering if the owner had to do any modification to the fenders or alignment (toe-in) to get the combo to work for him. It's a sharp look!
Bryan, thank you so very much for watching my videos.. in the UK where I grew up the engine in the back was always referred to as mid-engine. I have changed my description because there was never any attempt to confuse any car lover.
Roy thank you for your comments and watching my videos I truly appreciate it. My channel is really showcasing cars that perhaps the younger generation have forgotten about completely or even old guys like me get to learn something more about American cars and just how beautiful they are.
Corvair was ahead of its time.
I agree.
Love the color of it

Thank you Frank. I have to agree with you.. sadly too many cars end up stopping production for someone’s the wrong reasons.
Just a lovely car mate. Made me smile all the way. Definitely not a car I would ever see here in the UK.
Thank you Dan.. I know what you mean 😀
Great video! It’s literally my father in the video with his Corvair, I love the car and the guy who owns it :)

the rear louvers are functional. they bring outside air to the engine to cool off and air for the carburetors.

I like the Ansen Sprint wheels on it! Any chance you'd know the specs on the rims (offset/backspacing)? Looks like 15x7, 4x4.5.

Still looking for the mid-engine part...

What was the mileage before with the stock carb set-up?
Thank you William for watching the video.. I can certainly ask Mario and hopefully provide an answer for you too.
Nice, but Not Original
