Hi, I was given 4 eggs for my broody Pekin Bantam to sit on, its day 21 and i've put a torch to them and two were clearly unfertilized and 2 have what appears to be chicks in them, although there is a lot of fluid and what looks like chicks are still moving in the fluid. Do you think they will hatch?
@@therainboweggsfarm563 Today was day 26, i carefully cracked the 2 remaining eggs open and discovered that they had probably stopped developing less than half way. I don't think the Bantam could keep them warm enough, Also there was a freshly layed Bantam egg under her this morning, I guess her literal biological egg timer kicked in and she layed her first egg for 26 days.
This is cool
Hope you enjoy...

21 days is an approximate time...sometimes they hatch early...sometimes they hatch late. Hang in there...they might surprise you.

@@timinni It's a bit of a mystery why some eggs just stop developing. So many variables...Better luck next time.
