A small farm that started with a few baby chicks then turned into a full blown chicken addiction....and now with many other animal too....
Tagging Dahlias- What to do before you dig
Once the frost hits and the dahlia blooms all turn brown...you are not going to remember which one is which. Tag your dahlias now, with some easy to make tags and a colour code systems, so you won't end up giving your vary favorite ones away....again. What is the name of the dahila? Give up? We did too, so we came up with our own codes to be sure we know exactly each tuber will bloom into. Be ready to lift / dig your dahlias once the frost hits.

Fantastic video. Would love to see more. How did your “Survivor” do?
I have a feild full of survivors now..one of my favorite blooms 🧡
And thank you 🩷
super helpful, thank you!
This was so much fun and a great tutorial too , thank you !
Did you watch all 22 days?
Thank you for all the information.
Well done. Great supporting cast as well.
Great video! Thanks for sharing your knowledge :)
I love your video So nice . Fv
I just love that you do this!! You’re such a special person. Thank you! For educating everyone. Especially like kids. 😇
What a kind thing to say. We had so much fun filming this and love to share what we have learned with others.
Thank you so much for making this series! We watched every one - we enjoyed them so much and learned new things with each video. Looking forward to the next adventure!
So glad to hear that you enjoyed it. Everyday is an adventure...when you live on a farm........ We will see what comes next.
Pascale, I loved learning about your farm and all your wonderful animals and how to care for them. Thank you so much for posting this so we could all learn.
Glad you enjoyed it. I think there will be more to come.....
@@therainboweggsfarm563 Great, I can't wait.
Thank you so much for your videos!! We enjoyed watching every single day and learning so much about farm life. We can’t wait for the next adventure to begin!
So glad you enjoyed watching.
Loved all 21 days of this adventure !!! We are going to miss all our new animal friends. We will watch it over and over again. Thank-you so much.
So glad you enjoyed watching. We had a lot of fun making it. We just might have to do a follow up...maybe two month after...we will see.
Thank you!!!!! We enjoyed watching!!
So glad you enjoyed watching. It was sure fun to make.
So fun to watch. I never knew you could bath a chicken.
They are so strong those little guys. I just love watching the process.
me too!
Cute channel. You remind me of an elementary teacher.
This is amazing. I don't think that most people realize that hens sometimes have problems laying eggs and that if she does not lay those eggs that she could die. Good for you Pascale. I hope she is okay.
I visited with her today. She seems to be doing just fine and has become very friendly...as a result of this event.
So interesting Pascale.
One of my students would like to know how old chickens live to be.
It depends on the breed. The commercial birds are breed to lay eggs like crazy, for a short time. Some of the heritage breeds, can live for 10 years....they will lay fewer eggs each year though. Peppermint (the chicken in Day 17) is over 4 years old now....happy to do a zoom meeting for kids to ask more questions. You can contact me through fb
love it! your chickens are so cute !!
They really do all have their own personalities...
awsome!
Glad you are enjoying our adventure!
:}
One of my students wanted to know if the goat ate your whole board? LOL
hahah...no...I took it away...those goats...they will eat almost everything....
So interesting Pascale. I love learning all about your chickens and the rest of your animals. The goats are great... Jacoline
wow the coat on that llama-alpaca( not sure which it is) is impressive! What do you do with all your Shearings?
We will be shearing him shortly. He has absolutely lovely fiber that we will be spinning into yarn...that we can knit or crochet. Very, very soft.
Love how much you care for your chickens. Thank you for all the information. Your goats are so … adorable.
Thank you. We do love out animals and they all have their own little personalities....
Hi, I was given 4 eggs for my broody Pekin Bantam to sit on, its day 21 and i've put a torch to them and two were clearly unfertilized and 2 have what appears to be chicks in them, although there is a lot of fluid and what looks like chicks are still moving in the fluid. Do you think they will hatch?
21 days is an approximate time...sometimes they hatch early...sometimes they hatch late. Hang in there...they might surprise you.
@@therainboweggsfarm563 Today was day 26, i carefully cracked the 2 remaining eggs open and discovered that they had probably stopped developing less than half way. I don't think the Bantam could keep them warm enough, Also there was a freshly layed Bantam egg under her this morning, I guess her literal biological egg timer kicked in and she layed her first egg for 26 days.
@@timinni It's a bit of a mystery why some eggs just stop developing. So many variables...Better luck next time.
lovely educational videos and fun to watch
Thank you for the feedback. I am enjoying making it and learning a lot along the way. I am sorry but I seem to have accidentally deleted one of your comments. It was not intentional...sorry.
hilarious, you appear to be a lady with infinite patience
You do have to have patience....
I thought doing anything with a cat or dog was bad.....LOL!!
nothing compared to the goats...never a dull moment...
THANK YOU!! I have been wondering how to best grow my old potatoes that have gone to seed. I am going to try using one of my old chicken feed bags to grow some potatoes!
Poke a few holes in the bottom...just to be sure they drain :)
Hope all is well! Just wondering when day 4 is going to be posted? My students and I have really enjoyed following you on this journey from Ottawa, Ontario! :)
So glad to hear that you are enjoying watching them! Day 4 is up now. We are having lots of fun making them........it's just taking a bit longer to make them than we thought :)
Completely understandable! We appreciate the effort! :)
