In terms of voice acting, early on yeah. Wise talks a lot to you early game if you play as Belle, and vice versa, as they serve as your tutorial guide essentially. But they get phased out and largely replaced by Fairy/whatever Agents are in that part of the story

I think the opposite, Belle as MC may be controlling the bangboo but wise working behind the scenes and guiding Belle feels like the one pulling the strings. When you choose belle, Wise is the one working hard like a big brother while Belle is the one who rests.

both are mc but i feels the eous handler should be belle...her personality is all bubbly but then i picked calm and collected Wise. When I picked Wise, Belle is the one that kinda lead and we just move the analog according to her direction...and yeah i felt like the intelligence works supposed to be wise job and exploring/active stuff go to belle. But i picked Wise anyway so i can listen to belle voice more.
I pick Wise, because I see Belle to be the one that are always encouraging Wise to do anything while Wise is the one to do most of the risky action, listening her as an assistent or while arguing with Fairy AI also feels more natural
I think Wise fits a bit better as the character you don't play, simply because he gives me the vibes that hes the organizer of the two. Belle is quite capable sure, but shes also less disciplined.

i picked wise specifically because i like less expressive main characters. its easier to self insert your own reactions that way. also being more introverted with extroverted friends the dynamic between him and belle is more relatable with her being so energetic and doing most of the talking and most of wises reactions being more internal

Belle is way more expressive and sweet than I am so I see it more interesting to pick her instead. I guess hoyo really calculate any reason possible for both choice 😊

Tbh, I chose Wise because he's a guy. And I'm a woman who wanna see handsome men 🤣🤣🤣 But, now that I played the game and know their relationship, I'm so glad I chose Wise over Belle. Sure, I can't hear him talk more often and Belle is basically the one who narrated over the story now, but he's an older brother. And older siblings tends to be more protective over their younger. So him, gotten possessed by an unknown AI is like 'I'll sacrificed my safety as long as my sister is safe'. Idk, I just got that vibe from him 😌 That's why I chose Lumine over Aether too. Don't really know the true goal of the Abyss club (lol), but by becoming the Prince of the Abyss and, sequentially, the enemies of everyone, it's like him saying 'let me walk this lonely road and not you' I just love good siblings interaction, okay? 😅

I chose Wise. I’m alright with him most of the time, but Belle’s voice is a lot better in the bangboo scenes. Her energetic voice pairs well to how expressive the bangboo is animated.
I guess they’re both so lovable as a character, I mean, I wouldn’t be interested in Belle if it wasn’t for Wise, and I wouldn’t be interested in Wise if it wasn’t because of Belle. They’re polar opposite of each other and players are given the freedom to choose whoever suits their personality best. I personally am a younger sibling in real life and a hotheaded one between me and my bro, so I can’t see myself doing things like Wise does. Instead, being Belle with Wise as the navigator, its like I’ve got my bro to save my ass every time
I love that regardless who you pick they still keep the same animation style to that character but I do enjoy seeing Belle's reactions and animations more active but great way to separate the 2. Plus that little extra detail they did when Ben introduced himself. He easily could have just said "proxy" but a separate recording for Mr. and Ms. Nice touch.

I have an idea to make them playable: A ranged combat droid...I even have the acronym in mind Or a Sam armor from Star Rail, for the extreme areas, with what happens in that world there will be areas without oxygen, radiation or viruses in the air.. Each will have a model with different abilities and designs and matching roles and attributes I was thinking about a fight then
In all honesty, I chose Wise since he feels like the intended MC, his calm demeanor and hard working vibe fits the profile of the legendary proxy. Not to mention the amount of female characters you interact just seems fitting for Wise, that and the conversations between Fairy and Belle. Also a bit of bias since I’m also the eldest brother in the family.
I picked Wise and prefer him as the MC. I like his chill personality that makes him seem cunning or sarcastic in certian situations. Also certian energetic situations make him seem as a confused puppy which is hilarious. Im not that into peppy energetic MCs, but Belle as his assistant fits really well for me.

They show themselves as 2-dimensional characters when they can consistently prove to be more than just one character trope or archetype, and they are considered to be 3-dimensional and possessing depth when they can consistently show that they have more to their character than just tropes and archetypes. But in the earliest points of a story, you are unlikely to have very fleshed out characters. And it can even be detrimental to flesh them out too quickly, since the usually more exaggerated characterization of a 1-dimensional character is useful for hooking an audience early on.

I get that she is more energetic, but wise was meant to be a more calmer person since the two are siblings. In my opinion your reason for choosing Wise over Belle is exactly why I chose Belle. I mean think about it we're sending Eous along with other people into highly dangerous areas. Wise being the calmer older brother makes him perfect to be guiding us as we guide the others. He's the one that's there to help us if we get into trouble in the Hollows and honestly I'd rather have the calmer more collected person being the one helping to deal with any issues we run into and have the more hyper and energetic one being with us in the hollow because their energy could help keep morale up while the calm collected one is behind the scenes keeping everything on track. It just feels better to have Belle being the one controlling Eous in the Hollow and Wise on the outside ready to act if things get out of hand.
yes yes both are canon but after playing as Wise I keep getting the vibes that Belle is meant to be canon MC. A lot of options just feels too energetic and OOC for him, and Belle as a guide feels OOC as well... not to mention Wise isn't even on the cover of the Victoria Housekeeping tape. (There's this cutscene where Bangboo him and nekomata hugged each other reflexively when being startled by Corin, and that's just... extremely OOC, but very in character for Belle.)
Many people choose her because she's the "waifu", it's not a joke, they actually give that answer. There really is an obsession in these games with "waifus", that's why there are almost no normal male characters and many female characters. Still, I think Wise is more popular in this game, possibly because he looks like the protagonist of a Persona game. And I think Aether was also much more popular than Lumine before because he was a kind of Link, at least that was the idea of Hoyoverse until they saw that the main Lumine gave a lot of money to the company too.

In zzz what you say works the other way around too, there are many options that are very Wise-like and there are times where it makes sense for Wise to be the MC because all the characters are too restless and he is the one who balances all those situations.
While I can see arguments for either, I do feel like if anything else, they would take turns in being the main lead. When a situation needs to be more serious, have Wise in charge. Need something a bit more uplifting? Then Belle. Either way, it is difficult to say which I like more since it does seem like a split between why either character could work.

I feel like Belle fits better as the MC and Wise as the Support, mostly because when you compare the cutscene, Wise has more of that "Big Brother Shadowing his sibling" vibe IMO. Belle on the otherside, fits way WAY more as the one controllong Eous as a Bangboo.

I think the opposite, Belle as MC may be controlling the bangboo but wise working behind the scenes and guiding Belle feels like the one pulling the strings. When you choose belle, Wise is the one working hard like a big brother while Belle is the one who rests.

When I picked Wise, Belle is the one that kinda lead and we just move the analog according to her direction...and yeah i felt like the intelligence works supposed to be wise job and exploring/active stuff go to belle. But i picked Wise anyway so i can listen to belle voice more.
I pick Wise, because I see Belle to be the one that are always encouraging Wise to do anything while Wise is the one to do most of the risky action, listening her as an assistent or while arguing with Fairy AI also feels more natural
I think Wise fits a bit better as the character you don't play, simply because he gives me the vibes that hes the organizer of the two. Belle is quite capable sure, but shes also less disciplined.
As a little sister to a brother, i picked Belle cuz the zzz siblings are basically just me and my brother. Plus: Belle fits the energetic bright mc how most anime and Japanese media have and the sidekick/rival/mutual is the calm-collected one, I like seeing Belle and Wise have Big bro-lil sis moments. no matter who you prefer to be MC, really it’s based on how you view the story in your eyes. (Hah, Get it? Eyes? Eous? control? Yeah.. Ok i thought that was good)

Belle is more fit for the MC role considering she is clumsy and expressive. meanwhile Wise looks calm and collected, his role really good to assist belle in hollow.
i picked wise specifically because i like less expressive main characters. its easier to self insert your own reactions that way. also being more introverted with extroverted friends the dynamic between him and belle is more relatable with her being so energetic and doing most of the talking and most of wises reactions being more internal

Yup, and that’s why I chose belle, i didn’t do self insert thing in game bcs I want to be the 3rd person pov. I treat mc as their own character not projecting myself. Belle is way more expressive and sweet than I am so I see it more interesting to pick her instead. I guess hoyo really calculate any reason possible for both choice 😊

Sure, I can't hear him talk more often and Belle is basically the one who narrated over the story now, but he's an older brother. And older siblings tends to be more protective over their younger. So him, gotten possessed by an unknown AI is like 'I'll sacrificed my safety as long as my sister is safe'. Idk, I just got that vibe from him 😌
That's why I chose Lumine over Aether too. Don't really know the true goal of the Abyss club (lol), but by becoming the Prince of the Abyss and, sequentially, the enemies of everyone, it's like him saying 'let me walk this lonely road and not you'

I chose Wise. I’m alright with him most of the time, but Belle’s voice is a lot better in the bangboo scenes. Her energetic voice pairs well to how expressive the bangboo is animated.

I guess they’re both so lovable as a character, I mean, I wouldn’t be interested in Belle if it wasn’t for Wise, and I wouldn’t be interested in Wise if it wasn’t because of Belle. They’re polar opposite of each other and players are given the freedom to choose whoever suits their personality best. I personally am a younger sibling in real life and a hotheaded one between me and my bro, so I can’t see myself doing things like Wise does. Instead, being Belle with Wise as the navigator, its like I’ve got my bro to save my ass every time
I love that regardless who you pick they still keep the same animation style to that character but I do enjoy seeing Belle's reactions and animations more active but great way to separate the 2. Plus that little extra detail they did when Ben introduced himself. He easily could have just said "proxy" but a separate recording for Mr. and Ms. Nice touch.

In all honesty, I chose Wise since he feels like the intended MC, his calm demeanor and hard working vibe fits the profile of the legendary proxy. Not to mention the amount of female characters you interact just seems fitting for Wise, that and the conversations between Fairy and Belle. Also a bit of bias since I’m also the eldest brother in the family.

Also certian energetic situations make him seem as a confused puppy which is hilarious. Im not that into peppy energetic MCs, but Belle as his assistant fits really well for me.

No hate on Belle but the more I see people choose Belle over wise gets me thinking, why do people choose her over him? I get that she is more energetic, but wise was meant to be a more calmer person since the two are siblings. Imo Wise is a better MC since he’s a bit edgy compared to Belle and actually stays calm throughout the story.

In my opinion your reason for choosing Wise over Belle is exactly why I chose Belle. I mean think about it we're sending Eous along with other people into highly dangerous areas. Wise being the calmer older brother makes him perfect to be guiding us as we guide the others. He's the one that's there to help us if we get into trouble in the Hollows and honestly I'd rather have the calmer more collected person being the one helping to deal with any issues we run into and have the more hyper and energetic one being with us in the hollow because their energy could help keep morale up while the calm collected one is behind the scenes keeping everything on track. It just feels better to have Belle being the one controlling Eous in the Hollow and Wise on the outside ready to act if things get out of hand.
yes yes both are canon but after playing as Wise I keep getting the vibes that Belle is meant to be canon MC. A lot of options just feels too energetic and OOC for him, and Belle as a guide feels OOC as well... not to mention Wise isn't even on the cover of the Victoria Housekeeping tape. (There's this cutscene where Bangboo him and nekomata hugged each other reflexively when being startled by Corin, and that's just... extremely OOC, but very in character for Belle.)
Many people choose her because she's the "waifu", it's not a joke, they actually give that answer. There really is an obsession in these games with "waifus", that's why there are almost no normal male characters and many female characters.
Still, I think Wise is more popular in this game, possibly because he looks like the protagonist of a Persona game. And I think Aether was also much more popular than Lumine before because he was a kind of Link, at least that was the idea of Hoyoverse until they saw that the main Lumine gave a lot of money to the company too.

In zzz what you say works the other way around too, there are many options that are very Wise-like and there are times where it makes sense for Wise to be the MC because all the characters are too restless and he is the one who balances all those situations.

While I can see arguments for either, I do feel like if anything else, they would take turns in being the main lead. When a situation needs to be more serious, have Wise in charge. Need something a bit more uplifting? Then Belle.
Either way, it is difficult to say which I like more since it does seem like a split between why either character could work.
