1.) Over decorating 2.) Stop using AirBnB for parties 3.) Stop shopping at Dollar Tree, Walmart, & Michaels for decorations. 4.) Stop mixing glass with plastic 5.) Have your party at a restaurant 6.) Stop spending money on favors 7.) Stop having too little food & drinks 8.) Don’t forget to have fun and take videos.
Ok you stated stop shopping at all these stores, but where are we suppose to shop besides their & Amazon.Even though I make all that I can& it don’t look tacky.Give me a couple places to purchase Party supplies please🛼💜🛼
Great tips, love it! Planning my husband 50th, and I was stressing about the decor, but you made sense on not to overly decorate. I also think if someone is throwing/planning a party, they should pay for it. There's no reason why guest should pay for their food or/and drinks. I think it's tacky and cheap. I went to a wedding out of state once, we had to buy our plane tickets, hotel, car rental, wedding gift and at the reception our food and drinks. Bride and Groom asked for separate checks. Lol 🤦
Wonderful recommendations. We are in the process of planning my sister's 60th birthday party. I told my other sister to just keep it simple and minimal. We are all coming from out of town so decorations are not items that will be reused or repurposed; that someone can just take to their house. The birthday lady wanted party favors. The theme is centered in NY where we grew up. Going to the bakery was a highlight of our childhood. I'm catering so, I have small bakery boxes and desserts will be the favor. This way if they want the favor they will fill their box; if not, there will be no waste. It's gender neutral and if their are leftovers, we will have them for breakfast.
Happy Birthday Queen! Thank you for the awesome tips. My 60th bday is tomorrow 04/12 and my party is 04/29/23. My husband and daughter are giving for me at a Lounge at the Marina here in town. 100 + guest list.
LOVED, LOVED, LOVED these STOP doing tips! I’m new to event planning and I try to minimize my decor to keep it simple and elegant or whatever the event calls for. I like to personalize my favors to avoid wasting money, like the small wine bottles with a personal tag is a great idea! I appreciate your tips and plan to use them😊 I’d like to show you a picture I took of one of my events for your feedback. Thanks again, take care.
I’m planning my baby’s first birthday party and I had so many ideas in my head I wanted to do but you made me realize that I don’t have to go all out since I’m doing it on my back yard. I am going to do great ballon garland and that’s what I’m spending most of the money on and of course food and deserts … oh and music because us Mexicans love to have live music and yeah haha anyway thanks a lot!
I loved your video. Planning my moms 80th birthday party. I haven’t planned many parties. If you have info videos for such an occasion, l would love to get further info from you!
So I have venue and after that I have no idea what I'm doing😩😩😩😩I do have a DJ book and a person who catering but after that I'm a lost puppy it's for my 30th birthday honestly want to live it up especially after my bf died last yr
Hello, Can you give some advice on preparing a cabaret event ? Myself and 2 friends want to throw a cabaret with ticket sales in hopes of starting a business and being known for throwing over 30 cabarets with food and wine included and different themes with each event. If anyone has held these type of events and would like to share some pros and cons or just some beneficial advice we would appreciate it.
My birthday is this Wednesday! But I’m having my party on Saturday the 26 because ppl wouldn’t be able to make it on a week day since they work lol but my questions is, is it ok to not have hard liquor at a party because it’s gonna be like a birthday dinner/party. I will only have champagne, beer and sangria
What I wanted to say is so you think it’s to tacky? I just don’t want ppl to drink so much that they can’t drive home 🏡 and the place doesn’t allow hard liquor anyway
Hey Nieka, how are you? My name is Cynthia, I am planning my 49th Birthday Party on June 10th. Can you help me please? All I have so far is a 10x30 tent and some lights to string around the tent. LOL. I have watched your video and enjoyed it. I just want it to be simple. I agree with all that you have said. LOL. Thank you for the informatio.
Love the tips. Throwing a Summer Luau for our anniversary and I thought the same thing to not over decorate and use my home as the decor. I didn’t want a cheesy look, but fun with elegance. Thanks for affirming my thoughts!
My siblings and I are throwing a 60th birthday party for our mom, making it a wine theme because she likes wine. Any suggestions for decor? It is in a house/huge garage.
All white decorations, with maybe a hint of grey or black, and white flowers. Have guests wear white too if you want it to look extra winter-y. You wear black to stand out.🤍❄️☃️
Can you please tell us what TO DO rather than what not to do especially like the first point, these balloon arches are so normalized I think so like it was hard for me to understand at first.
For my 29th birthday. I wanted an air bnb in my city as a staycation situation with the girls. Do you think its tacky if its just us, And the houses I'm looking at are 3-4 bedrooms? Or do you mean just throwing a huge party is tacky? Lol thanks.
Sounds good! Airbnb is great for a staycation for you and your closest girls. I would just keep the loud music and other guests to a minimum so that it's not assumed that it's a party.
1.) Over decorating

All white decorations, with maybe a hint of grey or black, and white flowers. Have guests wear white too if you want it to look extra winter-y. You wear black to stand out.🤍❄️☃️
is a dinner and “party” the same ??? bc i think they’re different. like what if we need the airbnb for the kitchen and get a chef?
