    I never had issues when it comes to a Huawei phone. I had the iPhone 6 at some point and the battery gave me issues within 6 months. I tried Huawei and I'm already on my third one. No issues at all! Just a pity with Google play

      As you’ve said, Huawei’s hardware is good, but it’s consistently let down by the software. Hopefully this will change for the better in the future.

    Thanks for review. I'm not very tech savvy, but I think I'll be OK taking this over from my 85 year old mom who hates hers. In her own words: "I'm technologically challenged!" I have enough youngsters on my property to help me when I need it.

    Got mine last weekend, the charging is 15w, and it's quite fast. This is a solid device, the G Space app can get you access to Google apps such as YT and YT Music. It is a mimick to Apple imo. I love this phone, I think Huawei is better off without Google, give it a few years, and you'll see. I might consider to modify it later but I'm happy with it and the software, for now.

      How is the camera bro?

    • @kingb2k00

      It's the worst camera they've ever put on one of their devices in this price range.

    Great review, I have mine for just 4 months, I'm also missing Google play and the things we used to that comes with Google.
    The issue I picked up with the phone was the finger print scanner, as it's my right hand thumb, so whenever I'm putting it in my pocket the phone unlocks. Other than that great phone overall good battery life.

    • @brandonphillips5912

      Also I forgot to mention that the phone is a fingerprint magnet on the back.

    Best thing about this phone seems to be that battery. It’s absolutely yuge compared to today’s flagships. Dunno about that camera tho.

      100% a battery king! Everything else is decent too. EMUI though... ☠️

      Thanks for watching Pabi 🙏🏻
      Honestly, it depends on what you’d like out of the phone. If you want things like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc; it will be a little more difficult as those apps aren’t available natively in the Huawei Gallery App. However, they can be used via the web browser or if you know how to side load apps, you can do that too.

    • @pabi.m667
      @pabi.m667 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HansHaupt your welcome! and yes i do know how to side load such apps .but will they be able to update properly?

    • @HansHaupt
      @HansHaupt  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      During my time with the device, I only used APK Pure. This allowed sideloaded apps to update etc whenever necessary. However, any apps that required Google Play Services did not work - no matter what I tried.
      If you’re comfortable with that, then it’s a good phone. But it might be worth considering other phones in a similar price point - like the Samsung A12.

      @@HansHaupt i was also considering the samsung a12 but i saw other reviews on it ....some comments there were bad ..someone commented that he used the phoe for 6 months now and the cameras were bad, the perfomance was bad due to alot of apps . have you ever used the phone? Hello Maquina 👋🏻
      Thank you for watching.
      Hardware is good. Software (EMUI) is bad (no American applications: Facebook, TH-cam, Instagram etc).
      If you know technology, you can side-load applications or flash the operating system with stock Android. If you do this, phone becomes very good.
      If you do not know technology/software well, rather get something else.
      I hope this helps you 😎

    • @HansHaupt
      @HansHaupt  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wish I could give you a proper answer, unfortunately I’ve not had a chance to use the A12 personally. I only know of people who do have it and are happy with it.
      If you’re tech savvy enough to side load apps or flash to stock Android, the nova Y60 is a great device. If not, consider something else 💁🏼

    My brother has a new Samsung A32 4g and my mom still has the old Huawei P9 lite. When it comes to apps and system updates the Huawei p9 lite wins the speed test. When my brother does a system update or app update then his phone takes forever and a day. The Huawei P9 lite has all most no lag when it comes to scrolling through social media. And both phones are connected to the same internet connection. The Huawei P9 lite is still a great phone hands down.

    • @HansHaupt
      @HansHaupt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      First of all, I don’t do paid for reviews. Never have and never will.
      Secondly, this phone is great for its price bracket.
      Comparing a R3k Android phone to a R20k iPhone is like comparing a Toyota Camry to a Lamborghini. They’re obviously not the same, nor are they targeted to the same clientele.
