I LOVED this breakdown. Thank you, Pixo, for being the backbone of the Game of Thrones series. Maybe Dadi didn’t regard your work highly or was looking for a novel approach, but the audience loves what you do and deeply appreciates it. And hey, they saw your work and went along with it, so that’s a win for all of us. Also, I always forget how much environment work goes into these shots because the terrain and buildings always feel like they’re naturally there. Beautiful work all around!
Thank you for your incredible work in house of the dragon. These videos and footage of dragons and making the scenes are so fun to watch. Please post more content. 🖤❤️💚🔥🩸🐉🐉
I wish they weren't so scared of using colour. Sunfyre looks so dead, even though he's supposed to be the most beautiful and eye catching of all dragons who genuinely glimmers like gold. He looks like nothing special at all. You can't even see the pink of his wing membranes, it looks like a weird pale orange with the muddy "gold." The scales are fine, so he would look great if they actually amped the colour. I don't know why they had to change his season 1 design/colours, he was perfect then. Tremendously talented team, though!
completelly disagree, Sunfyre looked amazing! The pearessent scales were unique to him. Colors of the whole series are muted. Even real gold wouldnt be saturated yellow under an overcast sky. It would be extremely distracting to have an only cartoonishly yellow dragon in middle of this all
@@Starrider. He looks incredibly forgettable. The colour of the wing membranes is hideous and contrasts horribly with the muddy "gold." They look more pale orange than pink. The scales, like I said, are fine. That's why he'd look better with more amped colours, because the scales are good, but how he is? The colours make him look so dull and ugly. Considering he's meant to be the most beautiful and eye-catching dragon alive, he's disappointing; very forgettable and average at best.
I hoped sunfyre the golden to be golden and Aegon's armour to be detailed with colours and rubies, i mean look at Rhaenys armour FANTASTIC, also the helmet wasn't necessary, the silver hair moving with the wind with the dragon wings always been the strength of a targaryen riding a dragon. also some camera angles were off, just like when sunfyre was flying above King's landing.
wow, salute to the team's hardwork behind this! all the artists and technical people making this spectacle in modern day television happened.

7:59 Instead of orange, I should have added pink, it would have looked much better. Either way, he still looks good, at least in this shot.
well done guys you inspiring the youth coming up who wanna become vfx artists like me and these videos are really insightful!!! Thank you
I would love a breakdown on how you guys come up with the dragon roars and sounds like what kinds of animals did you use to make them?
