A little Overkill if you ask me. I have a 50 ft telescopic mast supporting a hex beam and I didn't go through all that trouble trying to look like a professional radio station. LOL

What is the wind rating? How many radials do you have?

I'm not sure of the wind rating. However it has 5 sets of guy wires. It has survived 54mph winds so far.
I have 28 radials installed.

How's the background noise on 160 meters with this vertical antenna?
Not bad. Depends on conditions. But the vertical is always noisier than a horizontal antenna.
