  • I designed a MOC of the Market Street Modular (LEGO set number 10190) but upgraded with full interiors, modernized with new techniques, and using up-to.date parts.
I built it with 1896 all new parts for 275 euros.

      Thanks!
I'm missing around 40 pieces to finish the Green Grocer, that I need to order from LEGO.
And I'm designing something special for the Fire Brigade!

I have the original back from when it was first released. It’s always been one of my favorites, largely due to how the build is paced. The Modular concept was new and experimental back in the day & Interior detail didn’t begin until Green Grocer. I love the details you added to your Market Street!

      Thank you so much!
I'm already building the Green Grocer and all the detail in the ground floor is amazing. The other floors have are still mostly empty, with great details though.

Love the Figures and definetly the changes to the geound floor! The market is amazing and makes me kinda want to build a market myself. In my head the inside of the building always had indoor market stalls with clothing and antiqes. The cafe is a little bit to close to the cafe in cafe corner. I still Love it tho and i am looking forward to the green grocer👍

      Thank you so much!
You have a good point regarding the similarities between the cafe corner and the croissant shop: both with yellow tables and chairs, and although the chairs are different, the tables are exactly the same. I need to find a new furniture supplier for my LEGO city :D
Thank you for noticing, it helps me improve for future buildings!

Great update to this classic modular! Any tip how to easy get all the required parts in the PAB service on the Lego website? Or do you have to select every item separately?

      Thank you so much!
Ordering the parts from LEGO is the most painful part. You need to select piece by piece. I think that's a reason why so many people actually prefers to buy the parts on Bricklink.
Truth be told, the price difference should not be that big if you are in a country with a lot of good Bricklink stores. For me in Portugal, the difference is considerable, especially when comparing the free shipping from LEGO and the shipping expenses that you need to pay in orders from Bricklink.

@@JRodonBricks Hi, thanks for the information! Then it will be a rather painful event with the PAB service haha but I will manage, a lot of money saved with your updated designs that stay true to the original models.

send lego a e-mail to bring back sets

      Hi!
LEGO will never bring back sets. First because they make a lot of money from people that buy sets as a business and bringing back any set would make a lot of people feel betrayed, as they spent a lot of money to have a set, that then would be sold again much cheaper. Second because it would be really expensive to produce again parts that they have discontinued.
Besides, I have fun doing this. It's a very interesting exercise that mixes creativity and engineering.
