Actually the "Miami Bass" sound is originally from Southern Cali. The Dj's from LA went over there & Miami loved it. Even 2 Live Crew are all from Riverside, Ca. except for Luke. Luke signed them and then joined the group, but they already had there sound going on here in Cali. Egyptian Lover was a major force in LA at the time too, even producing Rodney O from Rodney O & Joe Cooley's first demos. Rodney O & 2 Live all went to High School together in Riverside. So it's from IE/LA Cal, but it just took off in Miami, hence the reason 2 Live Crew moved over there. FACTS!
