@@irpk239 to me, the idea of someone being 50 and listening to this stuff was unfathomable back in the day. Don't let size fool you. Speakers and box design have gotten a lot better in 30 years.
I can get down to a solid 38Hz with my current car stereo and it uses tiny 6" drivers with very good boxes mounted behind the front of the front footwells. Sure, you don't feel it as much as you would with a larger driver but the sound is there. Haven't bothered measuring the SPL but it makes it above 105dB which is more than enough for me. I have hearing loss already so I don't need to add more to it.

My daughter is 18. When she turned 16 we bought her a 2013 Nissan Juke. I replaced all her factory speakers, stereo and added 10” powered under seat woofers.
I dialed it all in and she played “her music” w bass. Nothing was hitting or working her new speakers.
None of what she listens to had any worthy bass.
I pulled out my phone w “MY SONGS” (IM 46) and played DJ Magic Mike, Nemesis and the like.
That little Juke was thumping just fine.
I think for the first time she was impressed by her old mans music. Lol
Brought back good memories hearing this music again.

I'm 43. Grew up in Panama City, FL and bumped this so much I nearly blew the Pioneer 12's out. Although I learned that the west coast low-rider scene was considered the Low-Life, in circles of Bassheads in my town, hitting those sub-sonics was living the Low life. Nemesis - Munchies for your Bass is a favorite of mine, but Magic Mike and that insane scratching will always be the dopest! Here's to the Bassheads, may we drop it till we die! :D

I'm 49yrs old, and when I was 17, Dj Magic Mike is the reason I put two 15"s in my apple green 1970 Chevrolet Impala! I was a teen in the late 80s/early 90s, and Growing up in Atlanta, we were heavily influenced by Miami bass music! If you were black and grew up in the south around that time, having a old school Dunk with 30 spoke cragers and vogues with 15"s in the back, was a lifestyle in the hood! Dj Magic Mike's music was a big part of my teen years! This music brings back so many memories of cruising the city with my boys, bumping Mike on the stereo, trying to get girls numbers! You know, just being a kid, living life without a real care in the world! What I wouldn't give, to go back to those days! 😒

She is now the age I was when I started listening to Too Short, Eazy E, MC ADE, Whodini, 2 Live Crew, The Egyptian Lover, Slick Rick, and many other great's! I have her listen so she understands the true art it took to master the beat and lyrical flow. She is a softball pitcher (I was too). Here’s how it is nowadays, if everybody don’t like it or has thousands of thumbs up then they don’t like it but if everyone likes it and that’s the “new in music” then they’ll like it. They have absolutely no opinion of their own, none. They’re pathetic. If everyone was jumping off a clip then they literally would do the same thing. They’re a joke
