Brenda and Laura, so good to spend some time with you both again. I’ve been using the plastic boxes for years now, I get the “scrapbook” ones for my bigger projects. They’re perfect. My friend and I have been besties since we have been 10. I see the same love you two show that I feel with my friend. It’s beautiful to have that “person”. Everyone in gods kingdom should have one. Especially in todays world. Brenda you look beautiful and healthy. May god continue to show remission for you. Laura, it takes a special soul to love and care for your friend as you have. I have to say I just laughed so hard when Brenda very stoically said "NO - I never got the linen" "Been a year - never got it" the look on Laura's face was priceless - one of those just too funny moments. I don't watch many floss tubes at all but I sure do watch you guys !

I just want to say how much I love and appreciate your deep friendship and love for each other. It really comes through in your videos and warms my heart. Very suddenly in October 2021, I lost my very best friend from high school. She was like a sister to me and I feel her loss EVERY SINGLE DAY. We didn’t talk every day, but we were super close and shared a lot of the same hobbies. She was a fellow stitcher, but we never stitched together - always felt we had more time. Your relationship reminds me of my relationship with my “bestie”. I just love watching the way you two beautiful ladies banter with and support each other. I hope you continue sharing your relationship and craft with the world.

Thank you so much Lori. I think Brenda and I both understand the extreme loss that you are feeling. Brenda feels that for her Mom and I feel it for the loss of my childhood best friend. It hurts so much. We must be thankful for the memories and the time we had with these special people. We are sending you a big hug!
Thank you for sharing this. I still have my very best friend I met in kindergarten and last week I noticed she was wearing a nicotine patch. I nearly turned a cartwheel but I didn't. I have long wanted her to stop smoking because when we were much younger we always said when we were elderly we would have rooms next to each other in the home. After her smoking for years I worried I would not have her in our older years. Never too late to make a healthy change I guess. I save my Brenda and Laura videos so I can watch them in a quiet hour and not stop until it is done.

Presently alternating between joy and despair - joy because there's nothing better than a Sunday spent stitching with you both, and despair because three whole weeks (also, not being at Summer School) feels like an eternity! I had to get my beads out to console myself/not die of jealousy. But so, so happy you are on the silk train Laura! There's nothing like that buttery, happy, shiny stitching experience and your box is fabulous - love the literary sticker more than I can say. Have the greatest time at the Attic!
I was so hoping you guys would do a video from the Attic like you did last year. That was so much fun and we got to see a small part of the retreat and some amazing stitchers we otherwise wouldn't come across. You two were amazing emcees, too. I can understand you want to enjoy your time there but that was such a gift to the rest of us. Still a loyal fan of you both but sorry for my own sake and the rest of the people who can't go to a retreat like that.

Laura, taking your “unstitching” with you to summer school is a great idea. I find it too hard to concentrate on stitching out in public but I like to have something useful to do while I’m waiting at the doctors office etc. so I keep a project bag filled with things I need to unstitch and just take that with me. It takes no concentration, and I don’t have to waste valuable at-home stitching time on it!
Oh, but you two were on a roll. So many laughs! Laura, I loved how Brenda shoved your arm so you got your Ann Morrison piece closer to the camera. Brenda how special that you have needlepoint pieces that your grandmother made, precious.
Loved the two of you when Laura showed the back. I fisted hand in air in hilarity. Your faces are so precious when the two of you are having fun. 2:55 am and I’m having fun with you……can’t get any better.
The legacy fibers fabric is new to me. I will have to look at them so thank you. Ladies first common thread book is on my Amazon wish list now. Both your stitching is so beautiful.

My husband now knows when when I'm watching you both. I go into my bubble & laugh, smile, have a tear in my eye, go ooh & gasp at your stitching & the things you show. He has learnt not to interrupt with trivia like feeding him😂😂😂 Tonight he had to see me go green with envy, listening to Laura talking about the Jacob retreat. I would've loved to be there. Enjoy the Summer School, I look forward to hearing about it. I can also recommend The Museum Stitcher & Peregrine Stitcher. I love how this community allows people to connect. In preparation for your post Attic video I will be charging up my headphones, dusting off a do not disturb sign and going through my projects to find something I can finish outlining beforehand so I have a giant chunk to fill in while watching. I’m sure it will be an epic episode. Have fun and try not to melt from the Phoenix heat.

I love how you start right away on your flosstube. Pet Peeve is when people talk about everything else but cross stitch or quilting for the first 20 minutes. You ladies crack me up.
So glad this SAL is happening. I lost my dear friend Mary Louise in Feb, this year and I haven't stitch since Mary Louise also loved watching Barb and Leanne. So I will get back to my stitching by honoring Leanne. Happy stitching All and enjoy the great memories this will bring us.
Ruth, we are so sorry for your loss. You will definitely honor Mary Louise and Leanne by stitching again on the 24th. That is so important. I am sure that your friend wants you to stitch and enjoy it. We are sending a hug!

Well this video was chock full of stitching wonderfulness! However, had to watch in fits & starts because our daughter & grandsons are visiting from Colorado & our 3 granddaughters live close by so busy enjoying al the family time! I plan to watch again when it's a little less crazy here. But thank you so much for sharing. I really enjoyed your discussion about 100/3 silks. Planning to splurge on some for a sampler on 38 ct.
Spoke to Ann yesterday; they are waiting on fabric. I’ll be in Virginia Beach both before and after the retreat with my car. I’ll get to AZ Wednesday evening. Can’t wait to see y’all again! Lori Holt is sooo prolific, AND she quilts, AND she designs in BOTH genres!!! She’s amazing!

I was lucky enough to see the needlepoint rug that Barbara Bush made while her husband was the ambassador to China. It was featured in a needlework exposition held in Virginia. This was back in the 80's when my husband and I were stationed at Fort Belvoir. I've never forgotten it.

Loved watching again. For the first 45 minutes I actually sat and watched as I had 2 furry babies by me, one was on my lap, so couldn’t stitch. You know you can’t move them - LOL!!!

Those sweet Scottie dog cards brought a tear to my eye. We lost our sweet girl, Wrigley, a yellow lab, in March. I miss her everyday. It is so hard to lose your pets, they are like family. Have fun in AZ. Thanks for the awesome video.

Brenda my sympathies to you in your recent loss of precious Bailey 🥲. On another note I’m so happy for you to be going to Summer school with Laura and wish you both safe travels and lots of good times while there. I always learn a little something each video and thank you for explaining the differences between 100.3 silk and averosoie (sp?) silk threads. I have so far only stitched with CCW Belle Soie on my Ruth Gibbs sampler and I do love using it.😊 I love all the Brenda Gervais fall patterns you showed today. I’ve purchased the new Squirrels pattern and am waiting on it to be delivered. And the cute fox design by Priscilla Blain is another one I want to stitch Laura! Thanks for all the smiles you bring us each week and sometimes tears over the sweet cards you receive. Love it all❤️
