I got a 2024 red Kona N Line and am impressed completely.
I bought the blue Kona N Line Ultimate. I absolutely love it. Every time I drive it, people are turning their heads. 2 hot women approached me at gas station (separate occasions) and said home much they loved it! It has decent power, too, if you know how to drive it!
Thx for the review, bought the base model two weeks ago and it’s great.
For this Nline! My dealer markup $3k more…. OTD: $36k
This is a hack on how to run mid 6s in 0-60 mph. hold stability control/traction button until it beeps and says all is off. Put in Sport mode. This will bring it to red line on every shift. Put one foot on gas, one foot on brake. Rev up to approximately 3000rpm, then lift foot off brake and floor gas. It will pull like crazy with NO turbo lag! Mid 6s. Stay safe and do this out in the middle of nowhere!
Just put one of these on my radar to replace my 2020 Ultimate.
The review was fun & comprehensive as always. Thanks!
Update: got my ‘24 N-Line in Ultimate Red Metallic 10 days ago. Absolutely FABULOUS…
I had a 2022 Kia K5 AWD with about the same power train and felt it was pretty capable. I ended up selling it as it had transmission issues but it was a decent vehicle, the fuel economy on it was great too
What car are you in now?
Spicy acceleration
Those cup holders are awesome! Sold!
Ewwwwwwww
looks nice
I have this engine in a Sonata and I like it very much. I am very disappointed that the 1.6T was dropped when they did the Sonata refresh.
really is a shame there isn't gonna be a kona N this generation, though I know it was very unpopular. The full N treatment in this new body and new interior would be so nice though!
Platform is too old
@@David_Gotelli not everything.
The Kona N was not that good. It could even be dangerous on the road.
The one big problem with the N is that it is front Accent wheel drive ONLY! That's a total deal breaker on an SUV in Canada! I looked at a 2023, and they are way smaller than the Accent on the inside aswell and have that small ugly screen glued up in the middle!
Here's a crazy idea for Hyundai: make a powerful performance hybrid N version of this Kona
Arranca y seguido pedal a fondo vaya crack luego se vende como seminuevo
They made the lock beep door shorter from the key fob left the vehicle alert by making the hz lower ridiculously 0:43, do you know how ridiculous the beep sounded
He drove over 75mph in the ramp.
Isn't it a good handling car? Isn't it a good body-controlled car?
He didn't make many handling/acceleration adjustments either. How the car can to that?
He drove the ramp at 65 mph in Toyota Crown. But he said, Toyota crown is a fun to drive. What?
Superbummer there's no Kona N this gen. Hopefully they do something sportier with it before the next redesign.
My kona advance comfort pack is ready to be picked up from showroom tomorrow full electric i absolutely love it super size extra space its about few inches smallr than the niro but best part i have button in the niro its all touch screen i hate it i need buttons to press and click lol
how much did you put down?
Did the heaters work OK on this car or were there other methods the car provided of staying toasty this winter?
these korean cars are meant to survive the hottest summers and coldest winters in korea so ure good on ac workin
How do you go from using paddle shifters to regular drive mode? Like what gear is it supposed to be from 0-8? If you’re not using paddle shifters?
i 3d printed a little compartment/holder for the center console so my things wont slide around. looks cheap though, might reprint with better material
Prefer the pre refresh ( exterior wise ) and the exterior of this
Still disappointed that they didn’t make a hybrid option.
Comparing one of these to a 2024 mazda CX-30 GT. I am presently like the features of the Kona than the Mazda. I like the visibility a lot more than the CX-30, I also dig how it looks compared to the Mazda it looks so modern and sporty! I am focused on just having a good and fun daily driver with good audio and safety features. Gonna have to keep testing between the two and come to a conclusion!
The Kona seems like a better car and more modern, i agree. Though to be honest i am not so sure about Hyundai reliability and that DCT transmission seems a little unreliable to me, especially for city start-stop traffic. I think the Mazda would be more reliable with their torque converter. Tough choice, if reliability wasn't an issue i would definitely get the Kona no question between the two. But it is a gamble.
@@user-bs1wx1tb7eIts not a DCT, good ol 8 speed torque converter in the 2024 N lines!
What Honda Hrv sport 2025 vs Hyundai Kona N Line 2025 please test
It needs the Niro hybrid powertrain, Hyundai would sell a lot of them
Is there no timeout on the highway cruise? How long can you go without touching the wheel before it shuts down??
We just picked this vehicle and the time out is pretty inconsistent. I went a good 5 minutes with out it giving me a warning. Then it started to after a couple of minutes
I really hope Hyundai makes a full Kona N with this new generation Kona. It would be so damn nice. One of the reasons why I didn't consider the previous gen Kona N was because I just couldn't gel with the exterior and interior
The Kona N was discontinued. Only regular Konas now.
There aren't enough Kona N sold and they have very little incentive to make it. They sell these cars in bulk so it makes sense to keep everything "N-line"
👌
info/climate area looks a bit dated to me
Agreed, probably one of the worst back seats I've seen in a long time. Looks like the budget ran out in the front seats.
gonna miss the N :( I want 276HP
Performance air filter, High octane fuel, sport exhaust, Stage 1...Done! 🙂
would get one if it was a 2.5t or something like that
Hyundai sells cars to the global market, especially in Europe, not just USA. Unlike USA with their low taxes cars and low taxes fuel, other markets do not use large displacement engines that much, 2.0L is considered a large displacement here. So Hyundai is incentivized to use smaller displacement in most of their cars. It is also the reason why american cars do not sell much here.
why is there a huge blank area to the left of the gauge cluster
in foreign markets Hyundai puts a screen there which displays your mirror view using a camera and they delete the door mirror shut its illegal in North America
That is a speaker. You get the mirror with blindspot screen on the left gage when you put signal light on.
Is the speedometer not evenly in between the steering wheel 🤨
Last years model looked much nicer, just my opinion but why do these small suv
Why is Hyundai putting rear turn signals so low on their newer models? It’s bad enough that SUV’s hood are higher and we gotta deal with poor visibility rear indicators 🤦♂️
It really should be illegal if we're being honest. Even in a crossover I can't see them at all. Dangerous.
If you can't see them, you are too close.....
@@carlbrenda6518 I daily an Accord and was behind a Kia Carnival at a reasonable distance. I didn’t even see the Carnival rear turn signal until it start turning.
We put the indicators higher for a good reason..
The 2022 and onwards designs from KIa/ Hyundai look kinda weird imo
This is actually great value for money if you need the AWD for mild off road usage or if you live in a place with terrible roads. Otherwise, not so great.
First fire Staley at chargers
wrong video mb
KonaN
KONAN is legend…
I feel like I just got Rick Rolled lol Why don't they give us the more powerful variant? Missed opportunity. Unless they're waiting to hear the cries from people whom will flock if it gets produced.
Yea it’s kind of a shame. Nline used to mean you got more power and better handling but looks like Hyundai is starting to go down the bmw route with their badging.
They should’ve given the Kona N AWD. Perfect daily imo.
All the N models Hyundai made flopped (RIP Veloster) so I guess the regular engines were powerful enough for everyone.
Doesn't need it. Buy a Elantra n
@@faheemabbas3965it does have awd the limited has a awd with 195 hp
Well, they screwed that up.
How long till the campfire starts?
This one IS NOT electric or hybrid... so no fires.
The advantage of that "cheap plastic" on the center console is that it's easy to clean. It's great. I'd happily take that over a rubberized surface. Also, if that's really an issue, I assume that you can buy some aftermarket removable rubberized mat of sorts.
I agree with you regarding the shifter orientation.
Great showcase of the interior buttons, by the way.
No piano black is a big W for me. Shifter on column means no dust flecks getting in between the shift boot.
Personally there is no way i'd get this when there is the similar powered CX-30 with a reliable NA engine among other things.
Sadly I don’t know if I’ll ever be comfortable buying a Hyundai or Kia after the whole security fiasco. I’m surprised they’re still standing after something like that.
Too bad other countries get the N-Line with LED turning lights.
I genuinely need to know… has anybody here had any major problems with their Hyundais?
Engine failure or transmission failure seem to be the biggest problems. These are covered under warranty for new models. Just stay away from used ones. This applies to KIA as well.
Nope. More issues with Audi and bmw
@@MillVillageno transmission fails in the newer models or engine failures
Besides the major problem where you wake up to go to work one day and find it's missing from your driveway? 🤣
No, I love mine, and it has a wonderful warranty.
this car is a dressed up egg shell
Oh great another option for people to use their phones
Inside it looks so cheap 😞
Nice looking car/thingy (can we call it a car?), too bad for the build quality and new owner experience 😢
You're old
Build quality is better than some VW products and other mainstream manufacturers what are you on about? Have you actually been in any new Hyundai Kia products in the last 3-4 years?
New owner experience is a 10 year warranty?
@@mharro88You're kidding yourself.
@@domenik8339 no I'm not whatsoever. I've owned the new golf and it was a plastic piece of shit
@@mharro88 Do you work at a Hyundai dealership? It is not true. Also VW is not a premium brand, i do not understand why some people consider VW premium, it is considered a mainstream brand. Audis are the premium cars of the group. Still, VW tends to have better quality and reliability, and they are harder to steal as well. Hyundai packs more equipment for the money though.
Better than Corolla cross!
Corolla cross is faster, burns far less fuel, and it is far more reliable.....
interior is on another level, but unfortunately so is the exterior styling, but in a bad way
My pet peeve with Hyundai is their bipolar ways of design their cars, feels like everytime they hired a new team...a new crazy design is abt to be created
This car looks a mix of insignia and soul
Ewwww
"aggressive styling"
bro its a fricking kona
Am I the only one that is tired of these "futuristic" looks? I bought a regular Kona almost 2 years ago and wanted to upgrade to the N line but the new look to me is..🤮
I saw this at the dealership recently and it was in white
My first thought was wtf is that a stormtrooper car
And now I kinda want one ngl
Yep , I love it. It's a change
@@SepticEmpire White or Black are the only 2 color options I would consider. But you're right, the look might grow on me a bit with time
Not at all. I think this is a way better look.
I thought the original Kona looked like a bag of Turds
I agree think it’s ass, sucks the only options for awd are this year. And only lsd for the Elantra N
I do not like the interior
these things are ugly but i love the interiors
