Part 3 of the ongoing conversion. Today we are taking the suspension to the next level. I was getting tired of hitting bumps and the jarring from it. It reminded me of riding those rental scooters like the M365 and Ninebot ES4 with small wheels and rough riding.

So new tires front and rear, front suspension forks and front disc brake. This thing rides like a dream now! One of the best mods to do beside converting it to electric.

One can always just add front suspension forks and keep the stock rim and brakes, but when in Rome...
The rear fender mod was a little painful, but I took a hammer and beat the fender hoop forward about 3/8"-1/2". Use a piece of wood to try and keep from singing up the frame. I cut the fender with a hack saw and drilled 2 new holes with a 3/8" drill bit. When reinstalling I used the forward holes for mounting the rear chrome hoop so it would keep the fender farther away from the tire.
I like the look of the bobbed rear fender better than the long stock one. This is one of those mods that only costs your time to do.
