When the IKEA creatures came out carrying the boxes, I thought they had gathered their belongings and were quitting because they didn't wanna deal with 682! The fact that they just disassembled it and forced it to reassemble itself was even better!

what actually surprise me is that the staff was able to damage 682
It’s not hard to damage 682, what’s hard is killing it, or keeping it from becoming stronger thanks to the damage
And, there being an infinite number of staff, and the dead staff attracting more, it's basically a hydra just creating 2 threats from one dead, it would have to be damaged eventually, or 682 would have to drastically change it's physiology to constantly fend off increasing hoards of staff, though it is capable of doing so, it makes sense that the staff would just give up on destroying it and send it out.
He’s like Deadpool. Cant die because he’s protected by infinite regeneration plot armor. I still think he’s one of the most amusing creatures because his plot armor is powered by his hatred for the living

The Fact 3008 deactivated 682's regen. Like, he's able to come back from a lot, but this Ikea made it so it had to reassemble itself.
Well his regen prevents him from being killed, not from being hurt

The problem is 682 has been vaporized and even left in a space that's supposed to make anything cease to exist. It somehow managed to come back.
I like how the 3008-1 instances actually managed to dismember 682 and just placed 682's body parts in the front of the building they were like "oh hell no he's you're problem now"

Hey. That's a way to help people evading the IKEA SCP then.
- Send 682 in a box inside the IKEA
- Have the drone telling to the people trapped in the IKEA that they should follow the staff carrying Ikea box containing 682
- The staff brings back 682 in pieces, followed by the survivors who just had to follow the staff to find the exit.
SCP-3008 rated SAFE now.
First of all the staff are hostile and secondly everyone in the store is not from the same universe/dimention.

The different dimensions are a problem, for sure. But that's still a way to save many people trapped.
@@tauceti8060 The staff are only hostile during the day, and the survivors can simply follow them and hide until after the staff have dropped off 682 and gone back into the store. People exiting the store will likely go back to their own universe and even if they don't, being in a different universe is better than being in the store, in which case the foundation can help them.
@@Auron1Roxas2 not really doubtful the foundation will let these people go, they’ll most likely be kept within the foundation bases … (maybe given a little freedom but thats about it)
For someone who's hard to destroy, 682 does seem to always get bodied in these cross tests, doesn't he?
I mean, he's hard to kill. Sure. But I feel like he gets obliterated too often that it's comedic at this point.
I’m pretty sure when there’s a cross test it a bet between researchers if he’s getting bodied or not
He is really hard to kill, not indestructible, even human weapons and traps can cause great harm to him, the only thing that makes him op is his adaptability
Destroy usually means it stays like that.
The ending was really interesting
Killing or maiming it is actually somewhat easy compared to some SCPs. The issue isn't getting the upper hand on it but keeping it dead or wounded.
SCP-3008 and SCP-343 have something in common. Their first thought is "Nope, it's YOUR problem"
Imagine all of the unsuspecting various settlements in 3008 all the sudden witnessing the battle of their lifetime as 682 slaughters billions of “staff” before being dismembered and packaged. Honestly surprised nobody followed the staff to the entrance of the ikea.

The funny part is it took a whole day for 3008 staff to disassemble him in way he can't regen, and into less then 20 boxes. HOW!! Nevermind too busy laughing.

This seems like the ultimate missed opportunity for the Foundation. 682 is in pieces, and apparently can't regenerate until he puts himself back together. _Just put each piece in its own containment room._ You've basically eliminated the threat!

I already said this in another SCP 682 termination attempt short but I'm gonna try to tell ya'll again cause I think it's a good one.
What if we slice him up? Then throw him to a black hole so far enough from each other that he'll have to be faster than light to reassemble(the universe is expanding). Now this ain't a permanent solution it's just that time works differently inside black hole and if ever gets back together, there will no longer be any humans in the world. And that is good enough. Lemme know what you think.
It is a good way, but I think that realistically the foundation could just have made a pocket dimension, threw it in, and destroy any way to access it. Same for the shy guy.
Well it may adapt to the black hole and therefore be able to regenerate really quickly
And them may somehow find a way back to earth with some weird new space powers that would cause an XK-class end of the word scenario
The problem with that is they don't really have the means to get him to a blackhole. It would probably just damage the rocket before it reaches a blackhole, then crawl out into the vacuum of space, adapt to that, and then swim/fly back to Earth.

@@spiritwolf3103 Possible, but the cross test is super dangerous, if 682 manages to bust the outer sphere it would release the gravitational effect of the black hole.
There is no information on how durable the outer sphere is, but we do know that the gravitational force exerted by the black hole is much larger than what it should be compared to it's size.
In the simplest terms if 682 breaks the sphere during the attempt to dispose him, the black hole could in theory just gobbling up the Earth anyhow.
