  • Affordable small cars for every man -- that's an Italian specialty. In the 1930s, Fiat introduced what was then the smallest 4-cylinder car ever to have gone into mass production: the Fiat 500. Known as the Topolino, it owed its name to Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse, whom the Italians loved at the time.
