    Titan pump, graco guns and tips. That’s how I roll. I will say my brother has a new top shelf graco and it runs just a little smoother and a fair bit quieter than my 440i. Thanks for posting!

    I have Titan impact 640 and 440i industrial
    The 440i I use it for new homes and stores interior exterior repaint plus dry fall
    I really love the 440i more than the new 640 . Is powerful and good pressure good finish always works perfect never Problems

    The new titans HEA 1000 psi tips are the best. Fixed the punch issue feathered edges that are lot more forgiving. And cut over spray way down

    Hello Mike big fan of what you’re doing. My $.02 having worked side by side with an airless spray mechanic is it is 50/50 on titan or graco on the repair lifts! People that blow off pressure from the prime valve instead of the gun will need to replace prime valves more often. People that use airless sprayers and don’t know that airless sprayes have manifold filters will always ride the struggle bus. Buy an airless from a reputable vendor and take advantage of the free goods (tips or discounted fluid sections). The new graco Max life endurance fluid sections are money! Again, big fan of wha my you do!

    My paint supplier who also repairs and rebuilds pumps he says he sees 3 to 4 times the number of titans come in to be fixed than graco’s so yes maybe more expensive to fix a graco but if you only have to rebuild it 1/3 as often it’s well worth it

      @@Mikzone-zb6jk yeah and there’s probably 10 times more gracos in use than there are titans so basic common sense would state that you’d get more graco pumps than titans

      @@thomasburr9244 well I’ve had my graco for 11 years and I’ve never had to repair it. I’m a general contractor and I’ve worked all over the south west and every painter I’ve worked with has used graco not Titan and there’s a reason for that not to mention you seem to have not even read my comment. My guy who rebuilds sprayers says he sees more titans. That’s not opinion that’s fact. Sorry if you don’t like it

    Had a big old hydraulic piston pump..(can't remember the name) I think it was a Titan or Speedflow... the one that comes with both the gas and electric motors... Great design. We were spraying DryFog on the ceiling of Coastal Ranch and Farm out of Albany Oregon using three guns with 100 foot of hose each on that single pump.. We had a 55 gallon drumb we sucked out of and a big trailer to throw all the empty buckets...... good times

    I have a titan 440 impact and have run at least 2000 gallons through it in the last year and never a single problem and not a repack yet. I do religiously keep it clean and flush at least 7-10 gallons of clean water through it after each use and keep the manifold filter and gun filter clean after each use. I will always but titan as I have had graco in the past and the longevity is just not there.

    Great Vid. I started with the Binks Super Bee. Then Binks Super Hornet. (2) gun.Around 1996 got 1st Titan Epic series. I could pick that boogar up and toss it in the truck.Ran a spraytech epx rig and Liked it a lot. No "Graco" yet. Keep doing Great.

      OMG I though I was the only guy with a super bee. Me and my business partner got our graco 3500 stolen from his garage. and there was a closeout on that rig. really heavy with the Tecumseh cast iron motor. It was brand new. used for about 2 years then got somthing else. Switched to titan in about 2oo5 never going back to Graco.

    3:40 you say that it’s basically 2 coats when rolling compared to one coat spraying. Is that what you meant? Is that a rule of thumb on exteriors too?

      No that is jack leg commercial painter theory lol I am a painter I know...... On a commercial job where things don't need to be as critical you can do that but don't expect to get good results on a house interior or exterior especially if it's a nice house...... Gonna look amateur af.....unless your refreshing a previous color do two coats.....

    I have found that titan are much louder than the graco, have you tried the new tritech sprayers? I have one is the t5 low boy model, they very quiet and very good quality made sprayer

    • @mikethepainter
      @mikethepainter  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      when I was painting interior on a retail store during business hours, I always would use graco because of that very reason. we used a 1095. very little noise. The electric speedflo is even more quiet. But the pressure control is not quite as good as the graco. For most applications noise does not matter so maintenance cost is more important. So I use Titan for that reason only. They are just easier to rebuild and cost less than 1/4 the parts cost for rebuild.

      awsome. that is a killer deal. you can upgrade that epic to the ball and seat style piston with that kit I have on the rebuild video. the old ones had a flat flapper. all works good but the ball and seat is a bit better. My old epic finally fried the motor after about 10k gallons or so. still have the XC models shown in the rebuild videos
