The bowl with magnets underneath is brilliant! I'm a cardmaker with lots of small dies. This is a great solution to keep them contained while I'm working - I've "lost" too many on my desk!

Great group of tips Norrine. We use the ice in the garbage disposal, but with baking soda as we don't keep lemons around the house. Lemon juice lasts longer for us. It's still keeps it smelling fresh.

@@TheCraftyOrganizer You always look nice and present about as pleasant as anyone can. You “sparkled” with good looks, competence, professionalism plus all the former. Something about your eye makeup and your black top complimenting those eyes and the gleam off exquisitely clean dark hair. I hear you regarding Covid. I’ve gained 7 lbs and some days don’t get out of my pjs. Maybe my Covid disgrace is why I noticed your grace plus!!!

The sock over the vacuum was new to me.
The pool noodles are a must for me now that I am a crafter. I use them in place of the floral foam for my arrangements but just used them in the bedroom for the first time.
Built a platform to go under a trundle bed to raise it up and slit a noodle. Using it to cover the edge of the platform to protect our shins and it locks the trundle in as well.
    Thanks again for the hacks.

About once a month I empty my icemaker (esp old stale shrunken ice) into my garbage disposal & once it's stuffed full of ice, I turn it on a few seconds before the water. Using the ice chips to scrape the inside clean. Cover the hole or it will spit back the black funk living inside.
By filling it, instead of a few cubes, it scrapes all the old particles inside & up top out. Sometimes (usually ) I clog it with ice shavings & it backs up into the sink. Once it melts it drifts down the drain. No lemons needed, because all the grime & goo is gone. Smells great every single time.

These are great hacks, and I like to add a couple to your list. I've seen these somewhere else for pool noodle hacks and thought they were genius. If you have a bucket with a thin handle that hurts your hand, you can cut a length and slit it to fit over the handle. Love your curls! I intended to mention it before now but I always forget. Re taking pix of the refrigerator prior to purchasing groceries - brilliant! It would also let me know how much space I have for various items. (I wish I had taken a pix prior to my last trip to Sam's Club. I never thought I would hear the words 'too much ice cream' from my mouth.) I am not associated with this free website other than as a user but I find it useful. I downloaded the "out of milk" app to keep my grocery list current and convenient. Once I add an item to my grocery cart I tap the item on my list, it drops to the bottom of the screen. That simplifies creating future lists, tap the lower items and they return to the current shopping area. (If including the app info is against your guidelines please delete this post.)

I love the one about the glass cooktop because that's what I have and it's sometimes difficult to clean. I always have Pam cooking spray on hand so I'll keep that hack in mind. And the panty hose or sock over the vacuum hose is such a great idea! All great ideas! Thank you for sharing!

I liked all of them, many I have done myself in the past :) BUT! I DO NOT recommend using cooking spray in place of WD40. Yes, it will work in a pinch, but WD40 is made of mineral based oils and solvents which will not decay in the same way as a food based product will. IE, using cooking spray will go rancid eventually (be it weeks or months) and could cause either some bad smells, sticky residues, discoloration and maybe even lead to rust as it acidifies from decay. I may use it on an application that would be near food products (such as maybe lubing up a hand mixer part, or the gears of a my can opener) but also be mindful of how I would clean it up should I have to.

@@TheCraftyOrganizer I've used regular Olive oil on a paper towel to get the squeak out of my door hinges with no odor or problems. Been doing this for years now and works like a charm, although I will have to reapply 1-2x a year if the squeaking returns.

These are great! I really like the paint brush in a baggie idea so I don't have to clean it so much! And the pool noodles under the couch! As for finding something small that you drop, I learned a great hack from my brother, who's visually impaired. Take your cell phone with the flashlight on (or a regular flashlight) and hold it to the floor. The item will cast a shadow so you can find it! He dropped a pill and showed me how to find it like that. I've used it since then and it works great! Thank you! 😊❤️

I absolutely love your channel, your amazing! I always learn so much from you, thank you so much!! And for the question about Pam cooking spray, YES it does work!!! I had squeaky does and didn’t have WD40! So I tried the Pam and it worked out great!!! I usually hold a paper towel under the area I’m spraying to catch the extra that drips down where I don’t need it! 😊❤️👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I used to know the panty hose over the vacuum idea when I was younger and forgot too.

Just last week I used Pam Cooking spray on the front storm door and was unable to find the WD40. Oils work to if need be; cooking oil, baby oil or a lube oil. Awesome.
I’ve also used stocking of vac hose, potato on busted bulb.

These are great ideas! Will you please link the part one in the comments?
The potato thing does work! But please, turn the light off at the breaker before you try this!
Also, if you can't get a pool noodle because they don't always have them in the winter, you can get foam pipe insulation at the hardware store. It's actually cheaper, about $3.00 for 6foot section!

I knew a couple, but no the rest. I especially like the one about the vacuum and a sock. I drop my earring backs frequently (too frequently actually) and I have dark brown, low shag carpeting. Ugh, this hack will save me so much time on my hands and knees looking for them.! My other favorite is putting the outdoor plugs in a container! Will save me so much time. I’ve been wrapping them in a freezer plastic bag and used electrical tape to keep them dry. Genius! Thank you, as always, you are the best! Hugs!

@@TheCraftyOrganizer the baggie and tape works great when you want to hid the plugs vertically, but I will definitely be doing the containers on the ground. Great minds work together! LOL hope you have had a great day! Hugs!
