P.S. Mona can be used in a Nilou Bloom template too, not an optimal choice for the 2nd Hydro but she can still do the job! Full EM build, could give her PAmber, SacFrag, Fav. Again, note that Omen will not buff Blooms, and dashing for more Hydro app will help for Core generation.

Lol yeah.. i skipped mona for the longest time, because i never understand her burst..
I use her occasionally, but i usually just unga bunga with it..
Man, it's great how people love to take that out of context constantly, like they hold some sort of grudge.
This would make sense if most kits were this complex (or more) but it's actually the opposite. Also, I agree with the comment above. Repeated out of context due to butthurtness. It's been, I don't even know, a year? Let it go already. 😂

Well...... they don't tell us all the mechanics on her burst in the talent description. That's why it is call "hidden" mechanic.
They literally didn't stress me out as I never know about it until some sweaty players discovered it.

There are rumblings of a funni build with Furina using the Maidens beloved set and prototype amber.
I recently triple crowned her and I use her as a dps with a dendro character and kuki. Not the best team for hyperbloom but it’s fun and feels great in over world

Also, I knew about the Mona one shot showcases using burst, but I always butchered it, so Sevy explaining it really helps, too.

I've noticed that so many of the new catalysts we've been getting lately would be INCREDIBLE on Mona and even make her more viable as a Main DPS or Driver in a lot of comps. This guide is great to see! :D
I haven't played Genshin in a while, but my problem was always that I always felt like Kokomi is just a strictly better driver for something like EC as she covers the sustain role as well. Mona's damage contribution mostly only shines in freeze teams anyway, and those are usually better off with a cryo damage dealer on the field most of the time.
Got this guide in my recommendations so I've been watching it to see if anything changed, but it doesn't seem that way.

when you think abt it, Mona is the actual first generalist buffer. Now we have Zhong Li and Furina too
Mona and Xinyan have some amusing synergy in Burgeon teams. With Xinyan's shield pulse you can trigger Dendro Cores and Burgeon by spamming Mona's dash.
as a xinyan main i cant wait to get mona
the problem is if you're building xinyan for burgeon then you will have to go full em = really weak shield, so basically 1 hit and thats it, no shield = no burgeon

This is, without a doubt, the clearest explanation of Mona's vaporise Nuke. Most other guides explain the steps clear enough, but this is the best explanation of WHY we need to do the steps in this specific way. Amazing work

The only time I use Mona is when I’m using both Nilou bloom and ayaka freeze, In that case I use her to replace kokomi on the freeze team with the prototype Amber.

The characters are described in great detail, yet explained in a simple way so that everyone can understand even the most difficult game mechanics (which the creators themselves cannot describe well apparently, like with the omen duration). I’m grateful for this guide, as a relatively new player, started well after the addition of dendro, most guides from the original characters are so old and out of date that I’m not even sure if they still hold up. I would love to see some rehashes of the older characters, if there’s enough different, or maybe a compilation video of some of the old characters. 3.5 years later I finally learn what Mona's burst does lol. Even back when she was meta, I just knew her burst was good but not how, so I used her burst whenever and never knew if it was vaporizing the big hit or not.
Never use her these days but Diluc and her are racing to be my first C6 5 star 😂

Mona has always been one of my mains. I know it's not optimal, but she's so fun to use as a main DPS. Nymph's Dream was a great addition for me - and pulling Neuv's catalyst was a blessing since it somewhat works with her kit's meaty charged attacks - my Crit Ratio is 78/182

Mona Fischl combo is my first ever team in Genshin for a long time, and it's so fun, with Furina i hope i can bring back DPS Mona again in my team
@@di8085 I feel you. She's definitely a character I can use on my Mona, at least, what with Neuv's catalyst. Furina plus Marechausse Hunter on anyone else is basically going to turn anyone into a Main DPS
That's the more fun way, Mona TTDS feels such a boring way to play her tbh, at that point I would just use Kokomi lol.

I love that you're going back to review the older characters! So much has changed in the game, and a lot of older players will have these characters at multiple constellations now, so it's a shame not to be using them.

This is by far the best explanation guide I've found on any character from any TH-camr.
Most focus on how to optimize the numbers and dmg potential but don't go in depth into how mechanically the moveset works, what reactions are triggered and how to take advantage of the character.
The way I was thinking about rebuilding my Mona earlier and this pops up moments later :0 standard character guides can quickly become outdated so ty!

I am always puzzled on how to fully utilize Mona's burst, so I built her as an on-field agile DPS (also to bring more value of her C2 attacks).
I'd like to share that an on-field Mona build with decent attack speed is fun and a bit dynamic. And with the smooth control of Mona's alt sprint, the Wine & Song weapon becomes a good choice for this build.
I've wanted Mona maybe more than any other character since I started playing in Nov. 2022 and a few hours after I watched this video (on the day it came out) I got her off a single wish I pulled from the standard banner just trying to get starglitter! I'm SO thrilled! Thanks for this guide!

I must say tho...I really dislike her censured Outfit. And no, its not because its less horny...its rather because it doesnt match her being an astrologist very well. The OG Outfit was clearly made with the calm night sky in mind. The colours fit perfectly and it was just smooth. The new one however has way to much stuff going on. Your eyes dont know where to rest while looking at her. And the colours changed too for some reason ... they now are way to bright to resemble that beautiful calm night sky.
Thats at least my take on the matter.
Edit: I think you are the first who explained why the bubble does not pop on certain enemies. You really did a good job there.

Might have liked a mention that she's one of the few supports that directly buff an on-field Neuvillette, but Neuvillette guides do tend to mention that on their own anyway, so I suppose it's not strictly necessary info here

I've been running Mona since 1.00 and had her Venti Chongyun and Razor as my team for the longest. 3 years later she is now c4 with R5 Wisdith and I run her with Morgana and my exploration team
Ive heard that Mona might make an appearance in 4.2 archon quest and apparently her voice can be heard in the 4.2 version trailer. Its fitting in a sense that she gets an update guide right before the 4.2 patch lol

Xianyun made me build my benched Hu Tao, and i also built Mona to try to up Hu Tao's plunge vape dmg.
I remember getting high dmg numbers, but couldn't replicate it. I severely misunderstood how Mona's burst worked. But now i should be able to consistently do it!

Thanks for the updated guide i personally got her C3 and almost finished building her and didn’t realize her buff doesn’t effect swirl, I don’t like banat but i believe I can use Xiangling skill for Pyro then pop the bubble with Pyronado.

I will be honest, I always loved how Mona just beautifully synergizes with Severed Fate by straight up double dipping with its ER Scaling. Give her Favonius or Oathsworn Eye, or any other ER weapon with mainly ER substats and see how her Hydro Damage% soars to over 100% on top of the massive Burst DMG% she gets from Severed Fate.
