      Did he use distortion?

    • @martinopinto6323
      @martinopinto6323 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@daveclement9932 to me seems more like a jcm800 straight into the distorted amp sound. But you can also achieve that with a overdrive/dist marshall style in front of a clean amp

    Being a bit nit picky but i don't think that e flat spread chord in the beginning goes g to g sharp (fret 8-9). I can't hear it. Songster also does not have this - and that site is pretty darn accurate.

    How do you get that Guitar Sounding as if it's on 12, But you're singing without a Mic ?? Love to know..

    • @razzledazzle8676
      @razzledazzle8676 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He's running the guitar through his Kemper Profiler. Either he's using a studio monitor and recording that and his voice live, or the room sound would actually just be the acoustic sound of the electric and the guitar was recorded directly.

    • @JustinGuitarSongs
      @JustinGuitarSongs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As @razzledazzle8676 explained, it's mostly modelling and digital technology and smart mic placement.

    Does the band just play tunes down a half step? A-flat at the 4th fret would be at the 5th fret tuned down a half step?

    Do you mute the non-playing strings with your index finger?

    • @JustinGuitarSongs
      @JustinGuitarSongs  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question. If you have the root note on the A string and you're not playing the E string, try muting the E string with the tip of your finger. It will clean up your playing if you tend to strum the E string too much. Muting is a valuable skill best learned early enough. There is a lot to explore about this on the website! | Check: www.justinguitar.com/advanced_search?q=muting to get an idea! | LievenDV | JustinGuitar Official Guide, Approved Teacher & Community Moderator

    Rhythm tone sounds so muddy, I feel green day goes for something more punchy

    • @marticimus
      @marticimus 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      While it sounds great, technically I agree with you. I was trying to roll my tone down always thinking the trebly end gets grating. I did not sound right until i put tone at 8-10 on guitar. On amp a bit scooped and peddles running their tones at mid way.

      @45zapatero ปีที่แล้ว +4

      To match your comment ;-) This is a demo for a guitar lesson, not a pro vocal recording. Quality is more than good enough for this purpose.

      His microphone is in his hat, maybe that's why. Sounds decent quality to me, though.

    • @JustinGuitarSongs
      @JustinGuitarSongs  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      really? what monitors you using? I have Focal Twins and Genelecs and while the 'quality' of my voice is not great, I don't thing the recorded sound is poor... DPA mic into a 1073...
