Roland Fantom XR PC Memory Card and DIMM Memory Expansion

  • The Roland Fantom XR features a Memory expansion slots. You can either use a PC memory card or a Compact Flash card with a PC Memory Card adapter. The maximum memory card capacity the Roland Fantom XR will take is 1GB.
    Cards normally come pre formatted from the factory but to be sure it is a good idea to use your Computer to format the memory card to the FAT32 file system before installing it in your Fantom XR
    The Fantom XR can have its working memory expanded by installing a DIMM memory stick. The DIMM Memory is ordinary off the shelf Computer RAM.

    Number of pins: 168-pin
    Speed: 100 MHz (PC100 CL=2)
    133 MHz (PC133 CL=3)
    Voltage: 3.3 V
    Capacity: 64/128/256/512 MB
    Board Height: 38 mm or less
    As yo can see the maximum amount amount of DIMM memory the Roland Fantom XR can take is 512 MB.
    The The Memory stick is not allowed to have a height of more then 38 mm because otherwise it will physically not be able to fit inside the Fantom XR
