My 15-year-old son started his sophomore year in high school today. Before he left the house, I told him that if any of his teachers outline their syllabus for the year and it includes anything that is included in far left ideology, such as revisionist history, critical race theory, DEI, American colonialism, or anything regarding LGBTQ+ etc…he needs to stand up and exit the classroom. He then needs to call me as he walks straight to the office where I will be driving to meet him. As parents, we must stop staying silent about what our children are taught, regardless of whose “feelings” are hurt by our refusal to allow our children to be brainwashed. Far left ideologues have infiltrated our educational system en mass, and the only way to ensure schools do not continue to hire them is to refuse for your child to be taught by radicals. I don’t care what the sexual orientation is of a teacher, I do care if they are sharing that information with my student.
I am so incredibly confused... Why would a syllabus have any of that stuff? Since when are they revisioning history? What schools teach DEI and critical race theory?

It can be confusing for small children. Up until a few years ago there were man teachers and women teachers.
Then through the magic of gender politics and insistence by a selective group who “FEEL” they are living in a body which doesn’t align with their gender self image. Such as men who want others to think they are women. And. Women who want others to think they are men,
The land of make believe in a classroom might be confusing for children of a certain age.
How many children and teens the last few years were suddenly expected to understand the concepts of Pandora’s box of gender magic where a curtain is pulled back to reveal an undetermined mess of confusing terms.
Non-binary. Gender fluid. Spirit identity. Trans fluid. Pan fawn.
Some parents don’t want their kids exposed to things which may impact child development. Stable. Rules. Safety. Non abusive. Creative within reason of reality. Boundaries. Playtime. School time. To name a few.
Men and women teachers who for some reason within their own brain who are uncomfortable within their own bodies deciding to present themselves as the other gender. In the classroom.
So now we have some teachers dressing and pretending to be something they are not. Then expecting children to play along towards validation of a transition.
Perhaps those individuals believe since they can’t actually “pass” out in the real societal settings - work, social life, out and about they can at least hope to live their fantasy while conning children to play along.
So the question arises do those trans people expect children to be the mechanism of enabling their self image?
Perhaps. Might that be a form of grooming? Forcing kids to invigorate their adult self image.
Certainly something some parents might be concerned about at least on a subconscious level.

It could be for any reason, I've literally seen parents pull their kids away from a class cause the teacher was Chinese. (History teacher and secondary no less...)
You and I can find this situation immoral or unfair, but unless you're willing to convince the parents themselves or make a law that prohibits them from doing so, then we can only just move on.
That's how it becomes for everything, one issue gets a ton of attention but then everyone moves on.
The same will happen with this teacher, he'll continue teaching in the school for months or preferably years and most of the students will come back and parents will be more comfortable with him IF he does a good job as a teacher.

In any case some parents are worried that the ‘wrong’ is yet to come. The image that this teacher presents to the children just doesn’t sit comfortably with some parents who are simply used to the traditional gender binary teacher image and relationship that they grew up with as kids. They just don’t understand this crazily complex gender non-binary world, and they are suspicious of the mindset and motives of the people pushing that agenda instead of getting on with the job of teaching. If you mean the schools, I've got bad news. More children are SAd by public school administrators than anywhere else. According to Psychology Today, 10% of students will experience this kind of misconduct from staffers before they graduate high school. The schools are not capable of knowing who the bad ones among them are, regardless of any of this stuff.
