Thanks to all the A380 enthusiasts for pointing out that this particular A380 is powered by Rolls Royce Trent 900 engines. I've added a note in the video description to correct that. Appreciate the support and feedback! :)
Great video. You are doing an amazing job with your channel. Love that there is no music, it really helps feel the ambiance. Looking forward to the next one!
Always enjoyable watching your vids due to the production quality. Talking of which, looks like BA has upped its food and wine game. Shame the suites are more a hybrid between business and First class level, at least the old style one it, not seen the new one you mentioned, will check it out. All the best.
That’s exactly my thought when it comes to cross the Atlantic. If you have the time go for the convenient and even cheaper way. The real bed and multiple fresh cooked meal beats the plane. I think those countless “show off” first class airliners videos is for a very young audience who believes this is the real thing😉
If Heathrow, had a truly elegant first class lounge, it would not force its guests to have to listen to background noise, which I would say includes the music; it doesn't seem to have any sound insulation, nor padded partitions to reduce noise, especially the outdoor patio: how can one "work" in that environment.
I got to fly economy on the British Airways 380 from Dallas to London to Johannesburg and then the return. One of the best experiences of my life. I got to fly on the second upper floor too. I marvelled at the stairway to the second floor of the airplane. I will fly British Airways as long as they fly the A380. It's like a whale in the sky, where the interior is like a comfortable cocoon and the whale buffers the small passengers from the terrors of the waves of turbulence in the ocean of air. It's my most favorite airplane!
Thanks for detail BA380 first class video, I am fortunate to try this in feb25 first class to Miami with A380 return trip , hope I will enjoy this as much as you did..thanks again , have a great trips.
If BA offers the lamb shank back to Miami try it, I had it last year and it was the best lamb I have had. Skip the fish out of Miami, I thought someone in Miami would know how to cook a fish but I was wrong.
20:20 you can prefer medium rare of course, but this is plane, not your local restaurant. BA care about your safety first and do not offer food with blood or not cooking well…..
$13k wow. I flew from NYC to London for $4500 round trip 1st class last year. i mean, it was a 777, but it had the privacy doors. It was my 1st 1st class flight BUT DAMN SHO won't be the last 😂. Great video

Outstanding video. Offerings looked exquisite but I couldn't eat and drink that much if I was flying around the world. Especially after a meal and a few pops at the Concorde Club an hour and half before the flight. You certainly didn't waste the experience! Even with the outdated A380 Club World seats I can't see paying the extra $$$$ for first class!
Many thanks for the excellent, informative and entertaining report - great job! I remain far from convinced about BA's F&B offering - far too many simple, cold, easy to prepare dishes and the Beef Wellington was just wrong being so overcooked. The wines are ok for a First offering, but are still miles behind the class leaders. I also thought the cabin, seat and features are already looking dated. While it was great to see your experience, it didn't do anything to convince me to go back to BA's First, unless I could find a very low fare - something very rare these days, especially for transatlantic routes.
You're welcome! I'm glad the video could give you an idea of what to expect. Have an amazing flight in First Class-you're in for a great experience! 😊✈️
What a good video. British airways’ a380 does not often fly to Boston, so quite a rare route to fly on. Ba’s a380s willl be retrofitted aditionally, rather than being scrapped next year and will focus more on luxury than it used to, with a never seen before first class suite… looking forward to that…
Thank you for the fab video! I love your content! You should have more subscribers! Such high quality videos! The Concorde Room looks beautiful but seems a bit loud and busy, were you able to find quiet seating away from the crowds?
Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊 I’m really glad you enjoy the content. The Concorde Room is indeed beautiful, and while it can be a bit lively at times, I was able to find a quieter spot to relax. There’s also a quiet zone if you really prefer tranquility. You're incorrect about the engines used on YOUR particular BA Airbus A380. Your flight is powered by Rolls Royce Trent 900's, I know this because the blue engine cowls have the Rolls Royce "RR" logo's on them. You can see them during take-off. The GE/Pratt & Whitney Engine Alliance turbines are another model used on A380's, but not on this bird you're flying!
My one and only first class trip was on a BA380 when it flew to Vancouver in the summer season. Must have been lucky as my return ticket was around £2500. A waste of money, perhaps, but lifelong memories of the start of (and return from) one of the best holidays ever with my now deceased Mum. No regrets. Many thanks for the memories of flying in the front. ✈️😊👍
Thank you for sharing such a touching memory. That trip sounds absolutely priceless, especially with those lifelong memories of your holiday with your mum. £2500 well spent for an experience that will stay with you forever. I’m so glad my video could bring back those memories. 😊✈️ Wishing you many more special journeys ahead!
The food in the lounge looked good BUT I thought miserly. That salmon should have had a choice of roasted vegetables and/or a potato rosti. And it’s disappointing they didn’t offer a traditional English roast with all the trimmings since it is British Airways. I have never been in that lounge but the next door business class lounge and I can vouch they did a very good afternoon tea. Soft lovely sandwiches, scones and cream and little cakes.
This is the beauty of British food... That a scotch egg and a fish finger butty gets served in First, marvelous. If that was the first service, I'd be a bit surprised, but when one has had a few drinks already and fancies a bite ahead of landing, I personally think both are great options as that pre-landing snack. Comfort food... :)
a long time ago I flew twice with the Concorde from London. Once Singapore and once NY. Nice adventure but also a bit rediculous. Even then, I thought the Concorde Room was a bit of a 'brick a brac', second-hand consignment store, so to speak. and now with that so-called first class it's really nothing; rather a nice business class. It is clear that Britannia no longer rules the waves as to to speech and abuses this product for profit (as does Lufthansa, by the way; their 1st class is also very outdated)
Thanks for sharing! To me, The Concorde Room isn’t the best First Class lounge like Emirates, but it’s still very nice, especially with their private dining experience concept. But BA definitely needs to upgrade their A380 cabin ASAP. :)
Love the size of the TV , same as premium economy on Emirates and you could to Bangkok return in First for the same money. BA milk the transatlantic like it was cow, they should have a few 3 legged stools in the lounge to rub it in.
I always order my steak as rare as they will let me because they invariably overcook it. That usually me a medium steak which I can live with. Lovely video.
Looking forward to your Fremont Street experience you really need to go on a Saturday Night. Best place in Las Vegas oh and get the RTC Double Decker Bus fromthe Strip and stops just outside Fremont Street.
That’s smaller than business class on Singapore airlines a380! Ba,s product isn’t in any way class leading…ba stands for budget airlines…….nice review though 👍🏻

I’ve been on BA first class from Heathrow and it is not luxury. It’s nice but the Concorde room or first lounge (both lovely) are far from luxury and the food is very disappointing in general. Not worth the money
Great video. Glad you didn't pay the $13K for the flight. That's a lot of Avios but for all intents and purposes, you earned the luxury! Don't know why anybody would pay $13K "real" money unless a celebrity, bored multi-millionaire or someone else is picking up the tab. Just fly Club World and save $10K!
Thanks so much! 😊 I agree, it’s hard to imagine paying $13K in cash for this flight unless you have deep pockets. Using Avios made the experience much more accessible and rewarding! Club World is definitely a great option too, especially for saving that extra $10K. Appreciate the support and glad you enjoyed the video!
@@The_Luxury_Traveler Because of your video I just upgraded from Premium Economy to Club World then from Club World to First Class. Because of BA promotional upgrades cost was less than $1K. Can't wait to experience this first-hand!
This is one sector, which spouse and I have not yet flown, as a seven hour flight only gets us to Singapore. Liked the Concorde room and should you ever fly to Singapore try the Qantas first class lounge, a little more laid back, but nice nevertheless. I find very annoying that airlines do not impose a properly dress code for first class cabins. When I pay a fortune for a first class ticket I expect not only high sofisticated service with premium prepared meals, I expect an exclusive surrounding atmosphere as well. Does that sound familiar? Try it when visiting a first over class restaurants. Why do airlines then allow passengers like the one in this video just wearing t-shirts?
13k for that???? Anyone who can afford that then brill but I'd expect them to cut the food feed me the food, carry me on and off and possibly breath for me at that price!
Agree, Google Flights shows that this flight usually takes $5,500 to $15,000 round trip. The one-way ticket pricing is indeed weird. But the reward ticket is still worth it. 😉
Not impressed by the shabbiness of the cabin. You would think someone would at least wipe the many finger prints from the side of the digital screen? I think there is no comparison between BA and Emirates and Singapore Airlines.
Compared to some of the Middle East or Asian airlines, this is a pretty mediocre first class product. Even Lufthansa has a caviar service and that compartment looked very cramped. Also probably didn't need 5 minutes showing me every chair in the lounge. What does the bar look like? What are the hot a la carte dishes available if you want to eat more informally. Are there showers etc. Didn't need the safety video either. Give me a sense of the first class area, how many seats, how is each row structured etc. Go slower over the menu, let me have a chance to read what the choices are.
That A380 is powered by Rolls Royce engines, not by Engine Alliance. When the plane banks shortly after takeoff you can see the RR badge on the engine cowling.
Why are you paying so much ??? I travel from LHR to JFK 4 times a year, and never pay more than £4,000 for a return first class flight. No gimmicks, no part pay with Avios.
I am no frequent flyer of this route, but have you ever purchased a one way ticket from LHR to JFK? Seems they are indeed charging much more according to Google Flights.
Sounds like a seasoned traveller... oh, but wait he thought that brits only ate fish and chips. No fine dining in the UK?. Such knowledge!!! Such expertise!!! Not watching this guy again.
I totally understand your point! I was just making a joke about the popularity of fish & chips in the UK. I didn’t mean to overlook the amazing fine dining scene there! 🙂
Are you suggesting smaller bites? 😊 This was actually the first time I filmed a dining experience, and I did get a bit of stage fright. I'll definitely work on making it smoother in future videos. Thanks for the tip! 🙂
The Luxury Traveller Expert is a crawler to be honest. He never gives an honest review. Everything is ‘the best’ even if he said exactly the same in the last video. He comes across like an advert. When you watch all his videos and NOTHING is ever bad, you know you are not getting the total truth.
I flew BA first class on their 787 dreamliner in 2016 and I have to say it was atrocious, from the service right down to their cabin crew attitude, complete waste of money. I have had better service with Ryanair
The black British people represent just under four percent of the British population. Due to modern social movements they’ve been over represented in the media and this is probably why you’re seeing more black faces on BA.
He is a sloppy eater. Pushing food nearly off the plate at first bite, food dangling from his fork as he gulps it. I guess when you are rich you don't have to have any manual dexterity.

That was perfect. If it had been rare I would have asked for a replacement meal. You understand not everyone still wants their meat ‘moo-ing’
You went over the menu so fast
Thanks for the feedback! 😊 I’ll make sure to take my time with the menu in future videos. Meanwhile, feel free to pause the video to go through the menu. :)
Pause the video. 🤦♀️🤦♀️
Everything looks strong for this BA flight.
I'm not sure about the style of the TV.....
It reminds me of a microwave 😂
The good news is that BA has confirmed we'll see the first Airbus A380 reconfigured in late 2025 or early 2026. :)
It would be helpful if there was a commentary rather than subtitles
Wow I would love to travel first class on an A380 one of my dreams if I won the lottery -but first Id best to start playing the lottery - ha ha
Playing the lottery will assure you a place in Economy Coach, forever.
14K? You got ripped off! They’re way cheaper than that.
I used miles to book the ticket. See 0:41 for booking cost. :)
This is weigh, too short. You've got a lot cramped into 16 minutes 53 seconds. Still, this is a great video.
Thanks! But what do you mean by 16 minutes 53 seconds? This video is 27:34 long. 😉
13,500 dollars to fly British Airways? You have more money than sense. They are the European version of Turkmenistan Airlines.
FYI: 0:48
bought some cigs and booze at a packie as soon as I landed.
13k for that???? Anyone who can afford that then brill but I'd expect them to cut the food feed me the food, carry me on and off and possibly breath for me at that price!
Who in their right mind would give $13K to BA on purpose??
Agree, Google Flights shows that this flight usually takes $5,500 to $15,000 round trip. The one-way ticket pricing is indeed weird. But the reward ticket is still worth it. 😉
Not impressed by the shabbiness of the cabin. You would think someone would at least wipe the many finger prints from the side of the digital screen? I think there is no comparison between BA and Emirates and Singapore Airlines.
We missed your voice! And some music….
Thanks for the feedback! But I’m focusing on creating immersive POV videos. :)
If I won Euromillions absolutely otherwise it's National Express.
That A380 is powered by Rolls Royce engines, not by Engine Alliance. When the plane banks shortly after takeoff you can see the RR badge on the engine cowling.
Thanks for the correction! I’ve added a correction note in the video description. 😊
Another poor person who can't afford to pay.
the dining area still has shitty music pumped in - omg for £13k I'd want silence - great video though
I loved that Beef Wellington well done. I would have sent it back if it was pink. If I wanted my meat raw I’d not cook it. If any meat is pink I gag.
13k for BA? Dude you robbed yourself.
I used miles to purchase the ticket. 😉
smoking room ?
Зачем обманывать? 575,60 всегда была такая цена
What a ripoff. I flew from Sydney to London with a stop in Singapore on SIA in Suites for $20k AUD. And that was RETURN.
That sounds like a great deal! Just a note, I used miles to book the ticket. You can see the booking cost at 0:41. :)
I suggest that you cut your forkfuls of food by half.
Are you suggesting smaller bites? 😊 This was actually the first time I filmed a dining experience, and I did get a bit of stage fright. I'll definitely work on making it smoother in future videos. Thanks for the tip! 🙂
Holding knife and fork in the wrong hands !!!!!
Not if you happen to be left-handed. They do exist you know.
Always steal from the best! This is a rip-off from the Luxury Travel Expert.
The Luxury Traveller Expert is a crawler to be honest. He never gives an honest review. Everything is ‘the best’ even if he said exactly the same in the last video. He comes across like an advert. When you watch all his videos and NOTHING is ever bad, you know you are not getting the total truth.
The logo even looks similar. What desperation!
you might want to consider taking smaller bites.
Terrible waste of money……truly awful.
I flew BA first class on their 787 dreamliner in 2016 and I have to say it was atrocious, from the service right down to their cabin crew attitude, complete waste of money. I have had better service with Ryanair
awful trainers
Wow. So many black people with British accents. I didn’t know they made up such a large part of the British population.
WTF are you talking about? No need to share your ignorance online!
The black British people represent just under four percent of the British population. Due to modern social movements they’ve been over represented in the media and this is probably why you’re seeing more black faces on BA.
looks interesting but its just overpriced
THIS IS WHY I DONT PAY TAXES.
Oh come on 13 grand talking utter nonsense,
He is a sloppy eater. Pushing food nearly off the plate at first bite, food dangling from his fork as he gulps it. I guess when you are rich you don't have to have any manual dexterity.
Robbery.
