US is developing an intercept weapon called Dark Eagle. It is a hypersonic intercept vehicle designed for intercept during glide phase and is/will be part of multi-layered missile defense, and can be mounted on ships.
Might stop a couple but I wouldn't count on it. Wasn't designed to stop multiple warheads going mach 11. Russia has hundreds of not thousands of mobile launchers. Don't forget about their very long range, nuclear-armed torpedoes known as “Poseidon.” They are dirty nukes to make a tidal wave of death. Oh and good ole project fishbowl. Russia has their own version of deep space nukes. Ever seen what happens to a world when you change the magnetic field in a second?
Check out the Mutant Morphing Missile. That thing is off the charts wicked. Supposedly, it can change it's shape, bend and flex as it maneuvers after it's target.
The tons that he is using is short or US "tons" of 2000 pounds each. But it is also used in the metric system...but spelled "tonnes"...with each metric tonne being 1000 kg...which is 2200 pounds of course.
The largest Russian nuclear bomb is the Sarmat RS-28 that carries 50 MT of warheads with a maximum speed of MACH 28, and a range of 18 thousand KM. Russia's largest torpedo is 2MT.
Recky, the confusing terminology is due to attempts to make the quantities of energy release relatable to people. A kiloton yield is equivalent to the amount of energy in 1,000 tons of TNT (trinitrotoluene). A common 2,000 lbs. general purpose bomb (e.g., Mark 84) weighs a little over 2,000 lbs. (925 kg) with the amount of explosives being around half the weight. Therefore, a tactical nuclear weapon with a one kiloton yield would be equivalent to approximately 2,000x Mark 84s in explosive power. A megaton yield would be 1,000 times as energetic. 1 megaton yield = 4.184 * 10^15 Joules [4,184 petajoules (PJ) or 4,184 terajoules (TJ)]
In the U.S. Navy, I served as a Combat Engineer. Trained N.B.C. warfare. If a nuclear war happens. I would rather die fast than struggle through a horror show. 30 -- 60 days of suffering. No thanks.
I live near an ammunition supply port(Earle), a joint base(MDL), and 30-45 miles from Philly and NYC. I'm not trained in it, but I sure as hell have learned quite a bit over the years. The older nukes would have hit me with the flash - the more modern ones give me a "chance" to "survive". Be safe man, and good luck!
You should look up. The satellite thor's. hammer. Launches. Steel rod the size of telephone Poles. Which when they land. They're like a nuclear warhead without the fallout. Space force. William s
I hope to God there is never a nuke launched. By anyone. I don't know when humans will ever learn that if we don't get along, stand up for each other, protect each other and our planet, we will all fail to exist. I get wars, I get fighting, and I get get all the turmoil and unrest, but we need to take a very deep breath and regroup, think long term, as humanity, as a whole. We can have differences and still get along. My two cents is all.
Funny how everyone sees themselves as the good guy. They launch we launch. They're gonna give orders under safety. We're the ones that have to pay for their choices. No one is good guy
I’m glad some people still see us as “the good guys”. From what I’ve seen, anti-American sentiment is at an all-time high. Makes me lean towards isolationism again.
You have Russia invading Ukraine to steal its territory and resources. We (US) are helping Ukraine defend itself and because of that one detail, millions of people buy into the Russian lie that Russia is defending itself by stealing Ukraine's territory and resources, simply because it's us (US) that are helping Ukraine. They hate us so much that they're willing to villify a nation that we are helping defend itself against unprovoked aggression. If we were doing the exact same thing Russia is doing in Ukraine and claiming we're doing it for the exact same reason Russia is claiming it is doing it, they'd swear it was the most preposterous thing they ever heard and they'd swear we were the sorriest SOB's to ever walk the earth. But, it's Russia doing it and they're perfectly OK with it. Now, I've never been particularly religious but it is said that in the end times good will be called evil and evil will be called good. If that's the case, then we don't have much time left.
Big difference.. US doesn’t annex territory saying “this land is now America, or else we use nukes”. However, we did just elect a mad man who wanted to use nukes to attack a hurricane so 🤷♀️??? I really don’t know what America’s limits are anymore.
1. We have proxy armies do it for us. (See Gazsa and Syria.) 2. In most cases, we control countries via the financial system and sanctions. It's often just as d*eadly.
This "madman" is the only administration in decades that there were no new wars under his administration and NK went so far as to stop it's nuclear missile tests. Also gas prices were $1.36 the day he left office. Today, at that same place, gas is $2.91. You can argue emotional semantics and overstate selective remarks but facts and true numbers are where reality sit.
probably been mentioned but there are 2 different kinds of ton (tonne) imperial is 1200lbs and metric is 1000kg iirc. I actually don't find myself using either very often so memory has become hazy on both lol
I'm gonna whistle innocently......wait.......bunker busters. Those aren't nukes they are moabs!!!!!..... oh I think tonnes is more physics not mathematics.....but I could be wrong
After being ruthlessly attacked with the loss of almost 3000 lives. Not to mention that those same attackers made the Nazi's pale in comparison when it came to war crimes. Picture yourself waking up and one of your arms is covered in black hair. You struggle to make sense of it and you finally realize that its not YOUR arm. It kinda sorta is because it's attached to your body. However your "arm" spent it's first 25 years of life on a chimpanzee. It's not surprising that you guys leave out those small little, meaningless details though.
Mutually assured destruction... If you take us out we are taking you with us

@travellover3373 , corrected.
About 45 years ago I was working in a field with another guy when 2 A-10s came over at about 10 feet over tree level. We both hit the ground.
like a normal reaction, i would guess lol
They're also working on. Making airplanes. Invisible. Bye. Using cameras. Which if you think about it. Think about it. Is very simple. William s
the atomic bombs dropped on japan were around 7 and 12 kiloton yields - the larger b83 is 1.2 megaton yield and the b61 is a 360 kiloton yield - scary

i agree

One county may have an advantage in a nuclear war, but ultimately there will be no winners.
Saab just opened another facility in the U.S. Grayland Michigan. You're up to like 10 aerospace facilities!
At 11:53, the guy is standing in front of (a replica) the first ever "combat drone/cruise missile". Look up "The Kettering Bug".

So it would appear that your internet cables weren't cut,by the so-called super secret chinese/russian ship dragging its anchor. Good to know!
When you say Nuclear Bomb it is deadly. Do not say its deadliest Nuclear Bomb😂😂😂😂
As if the old nukes aren’t deadly enough.
United States is the bad guy.
The old nukes were far worse. Larger, more radioactive, more fallout, less accurate.
I don't Wana find out 😂😂😂😂
What do you mean we gonna find out😂😂😂
God bless at all
I hope AI becomes so strong that it renders all these kinds of weapons useless!

@Reckyj that's a lot of energy!!!!
Actually the Bunker Busters are MOPS.
Actually the bunker busters are MOPs.
One Imperial ton is 2000 pounds.
An Imperial ton (aka long ton) is 2,240 lbs. A US Customary Unit ton (aka short ton) is 2,000 lbs.
Its just a test to show the product works before selling them to China...
One ton in metric is not the same as one ton in american units. When an american says one ton, it means two thousand pounds.
1 metric ton = 1000 kg = 2204.622 lbs. [US customary units] = 0.984 Imperial ton
1 US ton = 2000 lbs. = 0.9072 metric ton = 0.8929 Imperial ton
Good guys until january 6 2025 lmaoo
I know I beleive
Uh no USA hasn't tested a nuke since like what 1992ish? New pfft!
I hope we (NATO) are the good guys. The other guys don't seem that good.
I agree!
It may knock on russia's or china's door, unfortunately, the way things are going

Yeah in imperial system 1 Ton is 2000 Lb.'s (Pounds)
