Brooke, there isn't anything you can't do! I think the valance was a wise decision! I think the longer panels would have been just too much for the kitties to resist 😂
Brooke, you need to take pictures of the Nanny's that you milk and start putting them on the vacant walls. That way you have a history wall for your new barn.
Very nice job Brooke! I have been sewing for 41 years and it tickled me at how excited you were with what you accomplished. You took your time and made a beautiful valance. Well done. 💜🐾
Brooke, you did a great job with the curtain, it makes the room look so comfy and cozy. It strikes me funny that your nervous about making the curtains but your not nervous about driving a tractor, building an aviary, building the milk room, giving injections to the animals, help with building a fence, etc. etc, etc. It would be too long of a comment to list everything you do and I'm amazed at all you do. 🥰
I don't think it's a boring brown at all. Perfect mix of browns and the curtains are so cute. And I love all your kitties, including Pink💓and Tucker ❤️so much!
Good job, Brooke! 👏 I always enjoy seeing you and DeeDee and the kitties embarking on a project . You are such a happy family! And even though its a gloomy day, we need the rain, and your positive personality makes it sunny 🌞🌞🌞😎❤
Great job Brooke! I am not much of a seamstress so I really appreciate you tackling this one! I just love Deedee and her sweet white muzzle! She just radiates happiness!✌🏻🫶🏻
I LOVE the happy in your voice, you DID do a great job Brooke. You also picked out the PERFECT material. Really cute, keep challenging yourself that room is so cute!! 🥰
When cats are indoors, they love to look out of the window.❤🐈⬛❤You might too, while milking goats!🐐 Great job on the valance! If you don't use the fabric to cover the bottom, you can make another valance panel to make it more richly gathered.❤
I'm so glad you're having fun accessorizing your milkroom, Brooke! I understand how hard it is sometimes getting started on a project. But you forged ahead, and the results are awesome, and so are you! Thanks for bringing us along. 😁😉🤗
Brook the more you sew the more confident you’ll get. Rule of thumb on curtains is double the width of the window to get the perfect gather. Great job!
Great job Brooke! It really does brighten the milking parlor up. Good call on holding off on the actual curtain because of the kitties. that's their, "Window on the World." They would, likely, tear the curtain to shreds trying to see out the window. I love the idea of the "Cafe' Curtain".
Great job on the valance, Brooke! And I think it's a good decision to just have a valance up. It won't block the cat's view and the cats won't be tempted to shred the material.
The fabric is perfect. When you get ready to add the bottom section, measure from the mid-point down and make cafe curtains. It is a classic country look. Love you guys.
Love your indoor project this morning! The milk room gets more cozy each time I see it. The fabric is perfect and the cats seem to love it. With Jason supervising, you are a master seamstress.
🥰🥳🥳❤ Wow Brook that curtain looks fantastic, if you can make a curtain you can make pillow cases dresses shirts skies the limit girl, Love you bunches God bless you and take care
Brooke you are amazing, you can do anything. I knew you could do it, you have accomplished a lot of projects on the farm. Love the valance and fabric. Great job!
I agree with you Brooke! When I saw the kitties with you near the window, and remembered how much fun they had with your shower curtain, I wondered how that was going to work out. You had the; hopefully; perfect solution. I bet it works well! 👍😉🥇🙃
Curtain looks great. It was a smart move just to do the top. Every time I bought new net curtains my cats had great fun running up and down them. They were ruined straight away.
A tension rod might be easiest when you are ready to put a bottom set of curtains. Your valance looks just fine. I see some very pretty colors popping because of the red fabric. So great! Love seeing Ms Dee Dee supporting her Momma.
🤠 Great job with the curtain. BTW, this video shows not only the need to try new things, but also, take the time to do it right. Speed will come with experience.
Brooke, I am just like you in the sewing department. My Mom was a great seamstress. In fact, she sewed my wedding dress for me. It was beautiful. You did a wonderful job and can do anything.
I agree with your decision to just do the valance for now and you did a perfect job, not just sewing, but picking out the fabric as well! It looks great.
I really love your excitement at making a small curtain lol. I was brought up on crafting and so it is all easy to me, but I get that it is a major achievement for you and it is lovely to see your pride. Well done Brooke. You are always an inspiration to everyone. xxx
The Valance looks so cute on the window! Later on when the cats can go outside, maybe they won't be in the Milk Room so much! That way you won't have so much hair flying around when you're milking the Goats! Sure don't want that! When you move the cats into the Barn, you could put your other little curtain up and if will look even better! I love your Milk Room! Its Beautiful... You could take 8X10 pictures of each Milking Goat you have, Frame then and hang then on your Wall also to Decorate the Room! Put a Red mat around each picture to match the curtains to brighten up your room also. I want wait till ya'll start cleaning the Barn and doing stuff so As can watch ya'll... Wish I was closer, I'd come and help ya'll do all the Farm Work! What Fun that would be! When is Jason going to plant the Fall Garden or Did he give up on it? Its to late now, Right? You did great Brooke! I knew you could! Much Love. God Bless. 🙏🙏❤❤👏👏
Picture milking the male goat!!! That would make family history!! 😂
😂😂😂
Very nice job Brooke! I have been sewing for 41 years and it tickled me at how excited you were with what you accomplished. You took your time and made a beautiful valance. Well done. 💜🐾
You could put one on the window in the door. It would go great with the one you’ve already made. You did a wonderful job. You deserve a ⭐️
I was thinking the exact same thing! Another valance on the top of the door window would carry the color over to the other side of the room nicely.
I agree! Put one on the milk room door! It will look great and carry through with the color!
Deedee sure hit the jackpot when you found her.🐶💞
Brooke, you did a great job with the curtain, it makes the room look so comfy and cozy. It strikes me funny that your nervous about making the curtains but your not nervous about driving a tractor, building an aviary, building the milk room, giving injections to the animals, help with building a fence, etc. etc, etc. It would be too long of a comment to list everything you do and I'm amazed at all you do. 🥰
I agree 💯%
Great point.😂
Amen Amen
The valance looks good! The cats approve because they can still look outside. 😊
I don't think it's a boring brown at all. Perfect mix of browns and the curtains are so cute. And I love all your kitties, including Pink💓and Tucker ❤️so much!
Looks great. Little DD is the cutest. Her face looks like a big bear 🐨 cub. Like to all your house pups
Love your choice of fabric ❤️please don’t block the cats view out side ,they might pull on them.a valance is a good idea❣️❤️😊
Agree! Could do a curtain that only goes halfway to allow a view for the cats plus to minimize blocking too much light coming in from outside.
Love the curtain. Just makes a room warm and welcoming.
I'd leave the curtains off personally.
Good job, Brooke! 👏 I always enjoy seeing you and DeeDee and the kitties embarking on a project . You are such a happy family! And even though its a gloomy day, we need the rain, and your positive personality makes it sunny 🌞🌞🌞😎❤
DD has taken to the farm so well and she sure loves to ride. She's a sweet dog.
Hi there can we be friends 😊
Great job Brooke! I am not much of a seamstress so I really appreciate you tackling this one! I just love Deedee and her sweet white muzzle! She just radiates happiness!✌🏻🫶🏻
Love it, Brooke ! It even made Jason do the cowboy dance. lol❤❤❤
The way the milk room is decorated isn’t boring it is gorgeous and expensive looking.
I love the added pop of color.
Just make another exactly the same to add to it that you can open in the middle.
You did a great job on the window valance in the milkroom. 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️🕊️🕊️🦋
👋👋👋
I'm so glad you're having fun accessorizing your milkroom, Brooke! I understand how hard it is sometimes getting started on a project. But you forged ahead, and the results are awesome, and so are you! Thanks for bringing us along. 😁😉🤗

Well Brooke, I love the fabric. It's your milking room. Do what makes you happy. 💯👍
❤️🙋🏼♀️🐈🐕
Brook the more you sew the more confident you’ll get. Rule of thumb on curtains is double the width of the window to get the perfect gather. Great job!
Agreed. Makes them look much fuller.
Great job, Brooke. It does give the room a pop of color. Looks like the kitties love the ladder, like everything else they can climb. Good job.
Great job Brooke! It really does brighten the milking parlor up. Good call on holding off on the actual curtain because of the kitties. that's their, "Window on the World." They would, likely, tear the curtain to shreds trying to see out the window. I love the idea of the "Cafe' Curtain".
I have been sewing all my life and you brought me so much joy in seeing you succeed. Way to go girl!

Great job on the valance, Brooke! And I think it's a good decision to just have a valance up. It won't block the cat's view and the cats won't be tempted to shred the material.

Curtain looks great. It was a smart move just to do the top. Every time I bought new net curtains my cats had great fun running up and down them. They were ruined straight away.
Yep Brooke, it looks great on the window without the bottom part, once you get that apron put around the countertop it'll look fab. Love the look!
Brooke you did a great job on the curtain ❤ love the color and the print, till the next one God bless you always 🥰☺️🥰☺️🥰☺️🙏

Hello Georgina sorry for invading your privacy can we be friends?
Looks great!!!
Hi there grandma

Excellent job! Brooke you amaze me how you tackle any job that you put your mind to
It looks great 😊🎉 ! I understand about all the shades of brown, some people LOVE brown. I have seen brown used in decor for way too many years.
Great job! Sylvester already examining the new "toy". Can't wait for everything to be ready for milking.
You’ve inspired me! Good job. Get Mary Carl to do some goat art work for the milk room! That will add more color.
Even framed photos, by Mary Carl, of all the goats would be nice
🤠 Great job with the curtain. BTW, this video shows not only the need to try new things, but also, take the time to do it right. Speed will come with experience.

You did a really nice job on the valance. The pattern and color are just perfect.
That looks GREAT!! I like the idea someone else suggested about putting more color on the door that goes into the barn.
Hi hope to hear from you
Brooke, I am just like you in the sewing department. My Mom was a great seamstress. In fact, she sewed my wedding dress for me. It was beautiful. You did a wonderful job and can do anything.
