Today's show was very interesting, there was a lot of issues raised which really highlighted what goes on in our community. Our aunties and uncles need to treat the male children the same way as they treat the female children in order for us to have healthy grown men and women who can get married, and not for the women to always get told to kanga motema, even when you are dying in unhealthy and unhappy relationships.

Firstly, if a man loves his woman he won't hurt her fr dede, let alone abuse her in anyway. And also, there is no way a woman would be submissive to her partner if she doesn't love him... so basically, saying that women don't know what 'love' means, that's totally wrong.
Secondly, both men and women should dress decently. The manner in which you are dressed will also depend on how you want people to treat you. And how much you respect and value yourself.
Thirdly, african cultures practice are usually based on the bible. So if you are disagreeing with culture, you are also somehow disagreeing with the bible. For example: A man is the head of the family.
Last but not least, marriage consist of 3 people : You, your partner and GOD. No aunties or uncles should tell other couples how they should behave and handle their marriage. Each relationship is different, what worked for you might not work for someone else. However, in order to have a happy, and enjoy a long lasting marriage, keep God in the center.
Please use one language and translate in the other language. That would be much easier to your audience.
I agree with Gladis when it comes to “kanga motema”. When it comes to a woman, aunties think that they should “kanga their motema” till the end of time. That’s very toxic. We should be able to speak about our problems as a couple rather than I not say anything at all😕
