Unless the screen has some secret means to communicate with China wirelessly, it's not spying on anything. I've changed batteries in the remote swapped out all cords pushed all input buttons and nothing. I connected it to my laptop and my laptop recognizes it as a working monitor. Probably a coincidence but the plastic film is still on the base so it's pretty new. Brand APEX. I know it's not a good tv in the first place but it was a gift

The reason why this is happening is because you Americans don’t want to sell your technology at a cheap or affordable price. You always take pride in the fact that because it is made in America it’s always superior craftsmanship compared to that of China’s.

I'm actually a bit weirded out. I watched this video yesterday and my tv that was working perfectly fine last night turns on but the screen is just black. I've changed batteries in the remote swapped out all cords pushed all input buttons and nothing. I connected it to my laptop and my laptop recognizes it as a working monitor. Probably a coincidence but the plastic film is still on the base so it's pretty new. Brand APEX. I know it's not a good tv in the first place but it was a gift
