TOUWS RIVER STATION HISTORY

The Role James Douglas Logan played in Touws River in 1881 when the Frere Hotel was build by the Cape Government Railways.( he rent the Frere Hotel kitchen ) the Frere Hotel became the Touws River station in 1912 so before that.... Jimmy Logan build his own Hotel ..the Douglas Hotel in 1902. on The Browns old Butchery grounds that he bought. a Family who got that premises on the south side of the Frere Hotel ( Cape Government Hotel) after JAMES DOUGLAS LOGAN left the Railways.
