Zack Thank You for all the hard work you and Becky are doing. I am an old farmer and have been watching your videos since 2020. I'm in my early 80's and enjoy the modern farming techniques that you show compared to the way we used to do farming in east central Minnesota 60 plus years ago. Again, Thank You and keep them coming.

Compressed air noise is the quickest way to impaired hearing and eventual deafness. Ear plugs are better than nothing, but 10 ohm / class 5 or higher rated earmuffs are the best. End of season clean up / maintenance is very satisfying watching.

I went from using a backpack blower or small compressor, to the tow type 185cfm for cleaning the combine. It was a game changer. One pro-tip I learned was to get a full faced respirator. Keeps crap out of your eyes and out of your lungs.

You are wise to protect your ears. . . . take it from a retired person who thought he was invincible. Trust me. I used to get laughed at for using ear plugs when I worked summers at Flexi-Coil in Saskatoon using the punch press. Then I worked on my uncle's farm driving the tractor. I had hearing fatigue at the end of the day. I could hear the tractor run all night. Next morning, repeat. Did I mention using hearing protection at the gun range? Now I live with my hearing aids. 😮

I think i agree. I see a portable air compressor in your future....... i do suggest you consider a guard-air "force 5" air lance. It has 2 safety features. The dead man switch, so if for any reason it comes out of your hand, it shuts off. Secondly it has the safety tip on it that reduces the air pressure at the tip of it in case it ended up next to someone's skin when it's pressurized, it won't inject air into their body, which could possibly ruin an otherwise perfect day. However, it still has plenty of cleaning force....... no. I'm not a paid endorser.....

Plumb airlines in like up top of on gantry and other places you need air?.
Then wheel compressor to where you want it connect line at bottom then when climbed up there just plug line in rather than the high risks of falling/tripping dragging heavy airlines around!.

Hi Zach--I've been enjoying your videos for some 3 years. The last time I visited a grain farm on the Prairies I was 8 years old. It was my grandfather's farm some 10 miles south of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. That was in 1944 and in looking back it was suffering the poverty of the Great Depression. A "stone boat" pulled by 1 horse was used to haul rocks off the fields. It needed a full team of horses to pull a huge wagon mounded up with hay. Maybe one horse to pull the swather. Maybe two to pull the binder. This created bundles of wheat that were then stacked against each other. Called stooks they awaited a threshing crew to come through. Suffering the great drought of the time, Uncle Frank was lowered down the well to clear out the silt and to dig it deeper. Down about 30 feet I was lowered standing in the bucket. My Mom called the region the "Buckle of the Wheat Belt". Sigh
