Poppy is my favourite artist and she has had my ear for almost seven years now. She doesn't have a specific genre that she plays and with that her music is gery unpredictable but never boring. This song you reviewed I like very much for it's flow and Poppy's vocals. I can suggest 3 songs of Poppy's well worth listening to and they 1.Lowlife 2. Don't Go Outside 3.Say Cheese but really most of her material is well done and a joy to listen to. Poppy rocks!
you definitely need to check her metal songs now!! 'they're all around us' pretty heavy and full of her screaming you can also check out her new single 'the center's falling out' which is also incredibly heavy and full on screaming
Poppy's vocal skills are really diverse- would be really good if you looked at more of her stuff- she does things so well, the skill often gets overlooked. She has a really strong, low chest voice, can do that classic "pop" sound you get in this song, but also has an extended head voice upper range. In this song, you can hear a slight croak in her voice, and that is her way into a high fry range, which sounds really raw and interesting. Poppy has also started doing some growl type sounds too. I'm a higher range tenor and I know her range goes from only two notes above my lower limit to an octave+ above. What is really cool is the way she manages her voice. You don't often hear her break between head and chest voice, even though lots of her songs use massive pitch ranges. She seems to use the effect of staying in the chest voice when she sings higher and in her head voice when lower, so things are seamless and there is little switching, and also has a lot of power to her head voice when she lets rip. Then there is the skill of flipping from head or chest to fry and back in a millisecond. It's really impressive when done live. It would be really good to get some technical analysis because I don't think people appreciate the technicality of what Poppy does. And as an added bonus, she is one of few pop realm singers who annunciates and places their "t" sounds properly, like a classically trained singer.
Poppy has room to grow and she will. This song was catchy but didn't like the end and thought the video was done on the cheap. Song w/ screams & growls, try "they're all around us". Personally I don't care for her screams. When Jinjer "Pisces" became super popular, people took notice and are trying to add it but many fail.

The attention to detail on those harmonies is incredible! Hearing the breakdown in head voice was so helpful. 🎶
Amazing!! I’m glad you appreciated. 😊
I think you should check out her song, "the cost of giving up"
Pop perfection

Try "V.A.N." where she does all the vocals on a Bad Omens song.
Another great collab is with Knocked Loose on "Suffocate".
She should check out the live performance Poppy did with Spiritbox
Thank you for this reaction!🥰
We need another reaction to her other single "they're all around us"! Its definitely heavier 😳
Glad you liked it! 😊
Oooooou ok 😉 ! Maybe!! Stay tuned!
You'll want to check out her "They're All Around Us" track. Very tasty... quite heavy. Fun times.
check out “they’re all around us” or her cover of “spit” by kittie plss!! these are definitely her heaviest songs

So it’s actually the opposite - she started off doing pop and then slowly got heavier over the years. And she got REALLY heavy lol
@@theopinson3851 I was hoping someone would have said this lol
this is amazing! thank you💗
