I took my Demon 170 to Chris Baily's shop to put it on the dyno and compare it to my original 2018 Demon dyno video. The dyno numbers put up by the Demon 170 were impressive, especially all stock on regular pump E85. But the thing that really got my attention was... is the Demon 170 even MORE powerful than Dodge said it was?

I read in my 170’s supplement to the owners manual that using race e85 won’t improve hp, are you tuning your 170 for this?

Modern drivetrains do not lose 15%. 12% is the new average, and that's pretty much typical of the ZF transmission.
Yeah I agree usually is 12% loss. The extra losses can be due to weather, heat of motor, dyno, da and car as not everyone is exactly the same. Really it’s just a general guess based on the projected manufacturer hp rating which not everyone dyno the same number factory as not every condition can be replicated. We can guess dodge took the best hit and boasted that in crank hp. So 1025 hp-12% is 902hp which is about right. This did 898 hp and I’m pretty sure racerx did a 900 pull on the dyno so it’s about 12% you’re correct. Hellcats are the same way.
The drag radials can actually cause some loss on the rollers.

So happy you got your 170 Iam building one just gonna swap my car with the c170 motor from direct connection they claim there gonna give me one but they have been on back order so Iam still waiting for it to be dropped to my dealer so I guess will see

To be honest, this car made 900 RWHP......BUT this car is also going for 150K plus.....2020 GT500 does not make 900 RWHP and did not cost 150K plus, you can add 10K to a 2020 GT500 and make the same power if not more, plus the car is lighter, so for him to say where you at Ford or Chevy is cute in all, BUT make no mistake a tune 2020 GT500 making 900 to the tire plus the DCT trans, it's not like the this car would walk it, just saying.

Once you start throwing aftermarket stuff at it the sky’s the limit. If you’re gonna set a 150K budget you could build a Miata that would beat the Demon and have lots of money left over. But, it’d be a highly modified drag car vs a factory stock car. Not the same.
Aint nothing about Demonology's car a Dodge Demon anymore. It's full of after market bull shit. He coulda just fixed up a Hellcat and got the same results

Just do your homework. Many Demon 170s have been running 8.9 seconds at 151 and 152 mph. That wouldn't be possible if they could only go 149.

I like all american sports cars but I am a GM guy I follow a couple Dodge channels, including demonology he's cool & Entertaining i AM NOT a Dodge hater.. but to his tuner GM could easily produce that kind of HP/TQ ford too but It's not GMs focus. It's an all around vehicle not a Abrams tank 1 trick pony that has Advertise quarter mile times that the (general public) can't or a very hard achieving ..they Exaggerated the 707hp demon times which the 650hp camaro beat.. Then that same Chevy can go to a road race track & Impress not saying it hasn't happened but I haven't seen a 170 hit the what? 8.9 quarter mile & they advertise top speed of 211 but govern the car to 149mph & I don't want to change into skinny's or remove my seats or add E85 to Achieve Advertise specs. I want to get in my car and go.again Nooooo Diss to The Dodge Faithful I'm on this channel because I do like the cars the 392 scat charger with the big wide factory wheels & Challenger look straight beastie I just never had an interest in owning 1 but I support all American cars Especially when up against the foreign ones

@mike_johnson87 An extra 70K? It would have to grow wings and fly for it to make sense. Yet and still nobody has achieve the times dodge claim the car will run.
You have to consider its the first in a lot of different things to be done on a factory car if it was a foreign car with that kind of power it would be 5 x that amount and nobody would say nothing
