山形新幹線 E3系 つばさ 板谷駅 2016冬 Yamagata Shinkansen & Itaya Station

2016年2月撮影　山形県と福島県の県境、傾斜のきつい山奥の峠にある板谷駅(山形県米沢市)。ここは山形新幹線E3系つばさが通過する在来線区間の駅です。
かつてスイッチバック駅だった頃の面影が至る所に残っています。
地元の方の話では2メートルほど雪が積もることがあるそうですが、やはりこの冬は例年になく雪が少ないそうです。
Itaya station (Yonezawa-shi, Yamagata prefecture) that is located on the ridge with tight inclination deep in the mountains, which is on the prefectural border of Yamagata and Fukushima.
This is a station in the conventional line section, which Yamagata Shinkansen trains pass through.
The vestiges of old times when the station had a switchback remain everywhere.
I hear that as much as 2 meter snow piles up sometimes according to the local people but there is little snow unusually this winter.
