I concur. Yet, if he sold CD's of standards, then royalties would eat up some portion of his profit. Although this would be very inculcative, he could play, say, two different tunes in about seven styles each on a CD. You and I and fellow piano nerds would buy it, but I don't think you would be able to get it at Target, unless the world were to suddenly become curious!😃
Thank you for this useful approach! Beautiful result putting it together at 14:30 and beyond. I have a sixth sense that there will not be a companion video using major sevenths.
Jeremy, does one have to be on the level of playing Chopin Preludes, Bach Inventions and some Debussy repertoire (as far as piano playing abilities) to approach playing piano jazz solo? Thank you, Michael
Sixth sense...interesting way to try and create counter melodies... When I had a lesson with Dave Newton he made a comment about how he would wonder how Faure might have arranged a jazz standard....
Do you know a particular reason why sixths sound so expressive? The difference between the average man's voice and the average woman's voice is a sixth (not an octave as people assume from choral singing). So two melodies moving harmoniously in sixths subconsciously evokes the sound of a heterosexual romance (if one is interested in that at all) :) Makes some sense doesn't it!
I have a sixth sense that book 4 will soon be out! Don't disappoint, Master Jeremy.
Sixth Sense! Whenever 6'ths are under discussion I think of Barry Harris.
6ths ❤ same… they are also very ergonomically friendly on the guitar. A staple sound in many different traditions.
My six sense tells me that this lesson will be healing and encouraging to my Body and Soul. Thank you, Maestro.⭐🌹⭐
Lovely work on this Jeremy !
Well. I need to work on sixths. Also, I wish you would just make recordings of yourself playing standards. I enjoy listening to you play.

This material is gold!
Sixth Sense - Awesome insights on sixths! Thank you, Jeremy.

Unless he decides to cover Monk's Misterioso, eh?😀
Beautiful! The 6th sense makes a lot of sense.
Thanks for your tip regarding the fingering on 6ths. I've benefited already from varying them. Some great insights in this video for sure.
I love the humour when you said….”it wasn’t all genius…” and me literally like this 😳 Love your instruction as always!
Addictive, Jeremy! I’m gonna go play some 6ths today!
Brilliant video, Jeremy! 👌
Qué onda maestro! Voy a practicar este con "Polka Dots and Moonbeams"
6ths!
Thanks for watching, 88 fingers. P.S. That's too many fingers!
Super helpful! Sixth Sense
Very nice, Jeremy!

6ths
😅😅 thanks a lot
I can't do any of this stuff ...
Nor can I, YET. But I'm gonna try. That's what self-improvement is all about.
Interesting concept. Perhaps better used more sparsely, started to sound a little too busy.
