Hello, just want to say awesome info and has helped me gain a lot of insight on starting up a hookah lounge. I live in AZ and my city is rapidly growing but one thing that we do not have is a shisha lounge. i think it would be an opportunity to not miss out on because the closest lounge from my city is 15 miles away, and one thing is ARIZONIANS DO NOT LIKE TRAVELING. i don't know why but we are like that. i think you said excellent points about the bar, shisha and also cafe. if one thing isn't selling another one will for profit, either liquor, food, or shisha. The other thing is licensing. there's so much to think about when it comes to starting up your own lounge. In's hallah I am going to give it my all with this shisha lounge. thank for the points going to start my business planning now.

Hi Sharina, some next steps could be figuring out how much money you need to raise, and figuring out how to come up with that money. Another thing you can do is try to look for good mentors/advisors. How are you doing with finding a location? What are your criteria for finding one?

I plan to meet with someone who already has their own sports bar tomorrow to see what type of advice, etc he could provide. I didn't know that finding a location could be so hard. As far as the criteria...I am looking at the price for the square footage, the surrounding area and businesses, and if a kitchen is already included.
Sharina Moore Yeah it is good to take over an existing space. It saves a lot on the remodeling. Also the kind of neighborhood it is will really have an impact on a hookah lounge. I would also suggest going through all the expenses and projecting about 12 month out what the costs will be so you raise enough money to last until you become profitable.
