Hey Brother. I love using Pro Q3 from Fab Filter, its so great for Mixing as you can compare any 2 eq curves together and it will show you where they are masking each other. Check out Decapitator by sound toys, its my fav distortion plugin, it is that good. Try it instead of OTT and let me know what you think! Manipulator by infected Mushroom is so awesome for distorting vocals and making vocals sounding awesome and dark!
I think Izotope VocalSynth 2 and little alterboy from soundtoys are great for vocals. Of the instruments, I really, really like "ample sound" guitars, especially the AGSH and ABJ versions. These plugins allow you to customize the sound of the guitar in the most detailed way. I have never seen such quality guitars. For synths it's a serum, I've been using it for years and never had a problem with it. For effects I like to use philta XL by vengeance sound, MIAfat and of course OTT :)
