This is probably not realistic but you can use soul sand and a sticky piston with a magma block, the you get water put kelp in it to make it a resource block then the bubbles makes you go up and down. If you want I can make a video about it in my own youtube channel.

You can actually improve it by adding mining fatigue with it and also using a setblock command to place barrier blocks above it in case anyone opens the chest, steals the goods, and enderpearls out
Edit: the reason you want mining fatigue is in case they break they chest, grab the goods, then ender pearl out
