Het voorbeeldexamen Leesvaardigheid vanaf 1 mei ziet er hetzelfde uit als het echte examen dat u krijgt. Het echte examen is even lang. Wel zijn de vragen van het echte examen anders dan die in het voorbeeldexamen. U krijgt 35 minuten de tijd voor het examen. Het examen Leesvaardigheid bestaat uit teksten met vragen. U leest telkens een tekst en beantwoordt dan vragen. Het onderdeel Leesvaardigheid wordt nagekeken door een computer. Na het maken van het examen ziet u direct of u genoeg vragen goed heeft beantwoordt om een voldoende te halen.
