When they are in ceremonial uniform it's easy to forget that these wonderful men are soldiers. Nice to see them in their fatiques. Love them all and am in awe of their playing and marching. Makes me feel proud
You see how this works? A group of people mill around, but then miraculously complete order emerges? They work together (even though almost nobody is watching), and they try their very best .. which is very good indeed. There are NO artificial methods, they become greater than the sum of the separate parts, and they bring mood and emotion and history and unity ... and joy and hope ... with them as they go. As you wisely say, how opposite in every way is that so called "art of the possible" that is politics! In their straightforward way, the bands literally and figuratively provide "the art of the impossible". It cannot be done, yet they do it. We need this unity of purpose and dedication and devotion and sacrifice in every area of our lives. The time for that is NOW.
I like The Music makes me very proud of the Household Division the music is outstanding for the first time Scarlet And Gold is played in Full as Part of the Marching Display by the Massed Bands The Pipes and drums of the Scots Guards are not available nor are the Corps of Drums The Massed Pipes and drums are made up from two Cadets Pipes bands The Irish Guards and The London Scottish also featured in the line up I hope that there will be a Cd of the Music for this very Special Event as It would be nice to listen to the Music and I am waiting to see if there will a Programme that I can buy as it would be nice to know what music was played
Yes, well actually "Beating Retreat". But they do not emphasise this name anymore as only fans get it. Others misinterpret. As would Russian propagandists. They give these shows names now - Crown & Sceptre is it this year? Coronation year.
What was this for and where was it. Is it just a rehearsal for something? It brought tears to my eyes as our military are incredible so very proud although I dislike the song.
Exactly, quite pathetic. Any serious professional military musician would realise within the first couple of steps that they're out of step and get back in step quickly.
@@supernutkin5122 hold on now, I didn't say pathetic.... it's not that serious.... lol. But as a person who does this, I found it funny to be honest that she was out of step sooo long. This is not easy, band musicians make this look easy, it's NOT. but there is a lot going on...... so she might have been concentring on getting the drills and such right.
@@laurapayne5732 Is it serious ? Well, let's put it this way, these are professional Military Musicians who should know better. All she was doing at this stage was following behind other musicians and not having to make any decision as to her making individual turns or halts or whatever. Being totally out of step with the remainder of the band for sooo long (your words) is pathetic, especially when compared to other Military Band Musicians and Corps of Drums such as the Royal Marines who make dozens and maybe hundreds of individual movements during one performance. It is so basic, it really is pathetic !
@@supernutkin5122 The same applies to adult non-military musicians. After a few steps you realize what has happened and you quickly adjust. I couldn't march out-of-step if I wanted to.
Yep, the little fat piccolo player with the black pony tail that was talking and giggling and not paying attention before stepping off OUT OF STEP, can be seen from 1.00. minute in, onwards.
Excellent and Stunning.
Very haunting sound and beautiful stunning voice of singer thank you.
Bloody marvellous. Our men and women in the forces and this no one else can do this as good. Never ever let this go
Wonderful to see and hear I am so very glad that I am British 🇬🇧❤️🇨🇦

Women as well please!,
Don't forget the Women musicians
Very well done! Marching, playing and doing precision drills like this is a LOT of work! Takes time, patience and plenty of individual discipline too!
Even with some out of step and not realising !!!!

I would presume that that is why they are performing in fatigues as in practice! !,!,!.

Haven't heard that first march before. Anyone know what it's called? It's an nostalgic yet jolly tune.
It's the America march entitled "Bravura" composed by Charles E. Duble in 1918.
Nice❤❤
It says in the introduction beating the retreat

Scarlet and Gold 1:00
Anyone that has been a part of a ‘Marching Team’ knows how much practice goes into this
