I see it as a Funtcase-style transition. Datsik, like Funtcase, used to have a very clean, low bass with very weak treble. Now, also like Funtcase, Datsik has a more staticky, metallic bass sound. I personally loved Cold Blooded and I thought it was the first step to an incredible comeback.
I found a blog post on the song from 2011 with a soundcloud song linked that was taken down by the artist, so I think this song was scrapped and Datsik just so happened to have it laying around on a hard drive or something:/
sup bro, got it from the beatport livestream yesterday with datsik, bare noize, dj shiftee and fei-fei. w w w (dot)ustream(dot)tv/recorded/34349751 btw I love your pic of K.K. can't wait to play the new animal crossing new leaf ^_^
its not like the set is pre-recorded and not live ( for a live-set look at dj shiftee in the same stream ) Moreover he is more of a producer rather than a dj...I think you are just jelly you are not as popular as him cause he has a huge fanbase unlike you peace
Angels Wear Tuxedos Trust me, I know what the music is and how it works lol. I'm saying that as a producer, I don't find sub bass to be the most important part of the song. And a track with a lot of sub is not necessarily a good one, just one that has a lot of sub.
+DJCDavisDubstep Interesting. For most of the 'real' dubstep circuit (the Deep Medi, Tempa, Tectonic, Artikal Music, Osiris Music, etc labels) sub IS everything. Without sub bass melody you don't have dubstep. The shift in focus away from everything 30hz and lower was mostly an American thing around the experimental 07-10 years pre-mainstream acceptance. The uniqueness of dubstep comes from the manipulation of really low sub bass into physical force that isn't common in other music. It's the music's defining, and sole qualifying, characteristic. Not many other forms of music will pump walls of 5hz tones into your chest. So while sub bass may not be the most important element in most productions, for dubstep it is the defining element of the genre. Ergo, if your sound system or listening device can't play frequencies lower then 30hz, you're actually not going to be able to hear (or feel) the music properly.
My grandkids are going to love these songs.

+Angels Wear Tuxedos Sub isn't everything
DJCDavisDubstep js both new drops contain huge low frequency tones, bass music.
