Oh storm you freshy. He is definitely trying to show them he wants to be the boss. I’m wondering if Willow is in heat or close to heat as Storm was really up in her business. Was storm gelded late? He certainly is throwing his weight around and being a sassy pants. All that and combined with a temperature drop, makes some crazy spunky ponies!! They will work it out as soon as they figure out the new herd dynamic. As long as there isn’t anything really aggressive going on, they will figure it out. 💕
I have been training horses as a job for a while now, and I recommend just letting them do there thing. Unless one gets badly injured it’s better to just let them work it out from a distance. 🙃. Welcome home Storm!
Rainbow Unicorn Unless 1 gets badly injured?? The goal is to integrate them with no injuries. With all due respects, I think putting them in together in a small space could enable injuries to happen. I'd separate them & integrate them more slowly, preferably across a fence from each other so they can get familiar without biting, kicking, or running the more timid horse into something, all of which could cause severe injury.
@@caryulmer5578 so how do you expect them to get used to each other and who ever will be leader if they are separated. If anything that will make storms temperament grow because he has no one to play with or be around him. It will make him feel left out
Clueless Leon Please re-read what I wrote more carefully, especially where I said "integrate them more slowly..." Your question was answered in what I wrote originally.
cary ulmer absolutely, you have to work with what you have and of course they didn’t quite know what impact Storm would have. I’d have taken measures too separate them too ( as they have) under the circumstances. To be honest there’s never a ‘one size fits all’, every situation is different and Storm will be fine on his own, but next to other horses for a while if that’s what they choose to do
Whatever you do , do not. Separate them. Storm is simply just saying that he is lead. Do not be so worried about injury. It is like a kid wanting freedom from they’re over restricting parents.

Poor storm he is alone. Gabbys face when Willow jumped over the electric fence was priceless lol. It will be hard for Storm to adjust from being with crazy geldings to calm horses, but eventually the horses will work things out. Love you guys so much.
Horses will be horses. No matter how slowly you introduce them, they will always try to hurt one another/ play. I know horses that have been together for years and they still bite at one another
Hi I just think you should give them all time to get to know each other and also I would do a bigger field so they can run also I would let Stella Finn and willow together and storm in the other bit until they get used to each other and it will calm them all xx
Karen Stella is on a strict diet. So is Willow because Willow might have ulcers. The small field that Willow and Stella go in is not big enough for Stella, Willow, Finn, and Storm.
J Fraser yes I know storm is a fantastic horse it’s just while he is adapting to being with Stella Finn. And willow in his field at the barn he obviously had to fight hence all the bite marks on him but I know it’s not him it was just the field he was in they will all get better soon I am sure it’s just a process
Sophie is right about the helmets. My old trainer got kicked on the head and if she did not have a helmet she would’ve gotten killed. This is a mess and dangerous.
Try not to worry, they will settle down!! But you seriously need to think about the space issue. It's far too small with too many areas they can get cornered in. It's too stressful as the can't have space away from each other and there's a high risk of someone getting hurt. It's recommended in the UK you have 2 acres for the first horse, then one additional acre per extra horse. So that would be 5 acres for all 4, or 3 acres for each pair. Best of luck and stay safe.
This is just how horses behave. You have to let them sort it out themselves and would be good to provide a bigger area/paddock for them to have more space. Just have patience! Forming of the herd dynamic takes time 🐴
Cary Ulmer omg, they have a mind of they’re own, you can’t control their behavior all the god damn time, storm was showing his dominance and that is normal horse behavior ok? No matter how much you introduce them over fence they will still *Bite each other, kick each other, and show their dominance* so leave them. The. God. Damn. Alone
Wow, i cant believe why everyone is hating on this family. There just trying to keep there horses safe, although it might not be the best way, having 300+ comments on pointing out the same mistake that everyone else did doesnt make you smart. I hope you see this Laura, im a big fan of you, and although you might stumble and fall over an obstacle that comes to you, you just keep going like you always have. I have no room to talk though. Ive hatted in your comments in the past when you used to post and i regret it because watching you guys grow and take such lovely care of ALL your animals warms my heart.
My gelding was in a paddock with a mare that was really sweet but she would never nip him so we could tell he was bored and he would kick when you rode him so we moved him back in his paddock with his buddy’s and the were geldings but we could tell that it was a good decision because he was so good when I rode him but they were nipping him which is how gelding play.
I think with a little time things will work out. Like you said, Storm is at a new place with new horses he doesn't know. ..Finn and Willow. So much is new to him and this was only the first day. Remember poor Sabrina when she was the new girl at the barn? She was picked on relentlessly. If Storm is accustomed to playing rough at the old barn, it's definitely going to take awhile for him to realize/learn things are different now. Hang in there, it will work out, have faith in them and yourselves.🐎☺️ I felt especially bad for Finn too. He had to spend the most time with Storm.
You guys learned lots of lessons today! Yes mistakes were made, but that’s how we learn! Now you are better prepared for the next time you introduce your horses to each other :)
Ah, this is interesting. It’s clearly a show for dominance. It’s a completely normal thing! The biting, kicking, it happens and as long as no one is severely injured, which I doubt will happen, there is no reason to split them up. We brought home my mare recently and they’re still sometimes running and bucking and have disputes. We introduced over a fence first and then let her out. She’s a more dominant mare, so she’s always bossing horse’s around. There is always kicking, biting and running with our herd and my mare. Basically, it is pretty normal for this to happen. I wouldn’t worry so much, Storm’s just being a normal guy! I love your channel! Gabby always inspires me as I’ve been going through a very rough patch where I’ve lost all my confidence in my mare..and it hurts me, to be so distant from her! Watching you guys always cheer me up! Love from Canada as well!
Minis are little fire crackers, Willow's going to run around all the time and set things like this off, she's got a lot of energy in a little body!😂 This is actually good for horses, let them run around and have some fun! If they bite and kick each other they'll live, as long as it doesn't send the other horse lame or cause major injury it's fine! At work we let the horses run around kicking etc. together in the paddocks and they have loads of fun! It's really good for them. They won't run people over on purpose, they don't want to hurt people, and they don't want to hurt other horses while playing, they're just having fun :) (also asserting herd dominance). Also: if a horse try's walking/running over you or away from you, growl at them, my horse learnt really quickly he's gotta stand still when I'm doing something with him even with other horses in the paddock, if he runs me over he gets jabbed in the chest (with my elbow), growled at and asked to back up and he better do it quick or he'll get in more trouble, it's so disrespectful and could end in a really dangerous situation.
Awww! Laura, you guys are doing an amazing job! A+++ Last video I cried when you brought Storm home and this video I was cracking up. Laura, You say the cutest, funnest things - Omygosh 😂🤣😂🤣 I just love your personality and you always make me smile. I can’t wait to see gabby and Storm ride around the property - Storm looks so happy. I just love the DaybyDay farm because it was built on Love ❤️ 💕 GGG! ✌🏻And❤️ Lori
You guys shouldn't worry about storm and the other horses. Storm is the alpha male and he is just telling the horses he is. Finn and stelka are both vary sensitive and not vary dominant, they don't want to be that's why storm is picking at them. And, of coarse willow is a trouble maker . They are just working the dynamic out. I know is scary to see horse do that but that's why storm has so many bites it's because that's how horses play. So just don't worry so much it's all fine.
The straps on Storm's blanket are WAY too loose! He could so easily get a leg caught in one. They really do need to be tightened up. Also, I wouldn't worry about all the commotion. It's just them being horses! Storm is a horse that wants to be at the top of the pecking order - so that's the first thing he sought to do when he arrived - assert his position. That involves moving the other horses around, showing them his butt etc. The biting and kicking will cease once they've all accepted their new positions. Willow is the main source of fuel to the fire. You could see it the second she was let into the arena - the way she trotted up to him with her neck bowed and tail up - absolutely a display of dominance! Then Storm felt his position was being challenged, and all the real commotion ensued.
Never go into a horse's paddock like that when they are acting up!!! Let them figure it out and be horses. When they are acting up they can and will hurt you.
You guys are doing great💜!!!We had similar issues with our herd a while back my gelding acted a LOT like storm and my dad's mare was acting like Stella my sister's gelding was like Finn and my mom's horse was like Willow, we let them battle it out and eventually they calmed down but my horse was still beating up my sister's horse so we separated my sister's horse off from the rest of them. Since then we sold my horse and my sisters horse (for other reasons) and I bought a new gelding and my sister bought a new gelding this time we had a gelding field and a mare field which worked much better but then my dad's mare started bullying my mom's mare so then we put my mom's mare in with our geldings so the problem horse is separated from the rest of the herd. I just hope this helps for you to know that your not in this alone!
I can’t believe Stella almost ran Sam over! And then Willow did that little hop over the wire😆 I know it’s nerve wracking seeing the horses run and rough around but they are still establishing herd dominance. Soon it will be settled but it takes time
Let the horses run! They aren’t going to be calm show ponys all the time. They love to run so let them. Wouldn’t you rather them run in turnout then while riding?
never met many calm show ponies throughout my 20+year showing career, lol. Maybe the worst comparison, but it did make me laugh, haha. Yes indeed you are right about letting them run, but given the size of their current (temporary) turnout, it can be extremely risky and dangerous. Many show/comp ponies and horses are in for long periods of time and we have to let them burn off energy via riding, its doable and probably the most sensible route to take at the moment. I find hacking them out together builds friendships and bonds, may be something to try Laura.
Don’t worry about Storm he’s asserting dominance with Finn it will die down when Finn knows his place in the herd they do this with every new group always happens love ur videos btw x
Hope everyone gets better keep warm Laura also not to sure if you know how to make a nets with the string that you have got because where I live we use hay nets the mat might be better than putting it on the floor in the stalls also stormy boy is getting a bit big for is boots (idiom) and more dominant so the choices that you made were good Finn looked like he was going to blow away lol 😆 hope you figure it all out and the hoses get well soon x
I think it’s a good idea to keep Storm in the back field and separated. You’re right, he is used to rough play at the old barn with all geldings. Hopefully he will soon understand that the horses at home don’t play like that 🙂
I admire Gabby, how calm she was when the girls broke in to the other field. I would have been like omg storms gonna freak out! But she was so calm. You are so good with your horses and I love the way you go about things. I love your channel ❤️💛💚💙💜🖤 Keep up great work!!
Oh my laughing at Stella and Willows comedy act with Sam 😂🙈😘 Well done guys another huge achievement bringing Storm home, they’ll all sort themselves out! Extending the field would be a good idea with them all together as they will want to tear around the place together, testing boundaries and working out who’s in charge! Hopefully will make less of a messy situation 😂🙈 A huge well done for so far! Much love 😘
LAURA, the problem you're having is too many horses in too small a space. We never introduce them that quickly, your concern is valid, they will get bit, kicked & could get injured (especially from a kick, it can cause a bad injury that may not be repairable). People have been telling you they need to work it out, which is true enough but you need to do it in a more controlled, safe way. Putting them all in together right away would only work safely if they were loose on several acres; even then there could be injuries. For the first week we let them be on opposite sides of a fence so they can sniff each other but that's as close as they get. If the squealing stops by the end of the week we let them in together, if not they stay separate longer. When the squealing stops & they aren't so interested in sniffing noses, you can put them together with virtually no biting or kicking. Because of your space limitations, weather permitting, I'd put Storm in the furthest fenced area, & the other 3 in the fenced area just outside the barn. (Put Storm out first, close the fence. Then let the others into the area by the barn.) Storm is fairly used to being outside with a blanket on, the others can go inside the barn if they're cold. If the weather is too severe (heavy rain etc) for Storm, given your limited space, for the first 1- 2hrs daily I'd keep everyone in their stalls, but let Storm into the isle way. He can go stall to stall, sniff each other through the rails & get familiar. (Don't have any of their stall doors open, you don't want him to get into a stall with them). Being kept in their stalls wont hurt them, vets do it all the time. It's a bit inconvenient, but safer than the risk of being bit or kicked. Then I'd let Storm & Stella only out together for a few hours, keeping Willow & Finn in their stalls in the meantime. (Let Storm & Stella have access to the inside arena & immediate area outside the barn.) Then I'd put Stella in her stall & let Willow & Finn out with Storm for a few hours. I'd do this daily for a week. Do Stella first, because Storm knows her a bit, & part of his problem is the barn is new to him, so he feels he has to establish himself in a new territory, as well as with strange horses. A tip to avoid almost getting run over like what's happening to Sam, is watch closer, where their attention is focused, it will tell you what they're about to do. When Sam was holding the end of the fence line, you could see Stella's focus was across the fence, at where the other horses were, so you know she'll make a break for it any minute. Her focus was stronger than Willows, (Stella was right up there almost on top of Sam) so this tells you Stella will make the first move & Willow will immediately follow. Therefore your primary focus needs to be Stella, which Sam recognized because she's the one he tried to stop. Instead, what he should have done is at the minute she was too interested in looking across the fence, Sam needed to attach that fence line back up & step aside a bit. (Dont let her focus go on a second longer). This will keep Stella & Willow in the first area, they'll likely gallop around a bit, repeatedly going back to the fence line, but will calm down. When they have calmed down, you can work with them, until then its hard to get their focus on you. At that time, Sam can either open the fence again & let them through (being prepared they may want to gallop through so keep the fence line & yourself out of their way), or put a halter on Stella & lead her through. Willow will calmly follow. Horses will push past you so standing where Sam was is no deterrent to them getting through. By holding onto the end of the fence line it could injure him or one of the horses; Stella could push by Sam, he involuntarily raises the line a bit & trips Willow. The horses could get hurt, & the hook on the line will rip through Sam's hand. (Take it from someone who's done that😂) With horses, you ALWAYS have to make sure their focus is on you; what you want them to do, not elsewhere. If they're focused elsewhere, don't go any further until you have them focusing on you. Sometimes this means just giving them a minute to calm down, sometime it means being assertive with them. They're much like a person when they're real emotional. At that point it's harder to get the person to hear what you need them to do. Always err on the side of safety though.
@@caryulmer5578 Any time. Thank you for taking the time to comment in such detail. Reading your advice and suggestions gives excellent insight to those who aren't as experienced or knowledgeable. ..like myself and others.
You just wait in a few days time everything will be perfect 😊 I hate introducing new horses my heart is literally always in my mouth !...But they do always eventually work it out and your lovely lot will work it out much sooner than most as they really are all a bunch of sweet genuine ponies ! Storm is so handsome he's in fab condition ! I can see this all working out perfectly for you guys 😊❤
They will all settle down eventually... Storm is probably feeling like an outsider. Maybe a bigger area to run in will let them get away from each other? It all seems scary now but they will all adjust soon! I laughed so hard when Stella almost trampled Sam and Willow took her chance!! 😹
Frisky Storm! It definitely seems like Stella is currently in heat and Willow is starting... I think Storm is trying to show he’s the boss and showing off to Stella... hopefully things will calm down soon and they’ll start acting more calm and normal! Btw, by any chance was Storm gelded late? He seems to act more like a stallion than a gelding then again the mares are probably starting heat so that could make him frisky too! Hope everybody is safe and unharmed by the nipping Storm! Love you guys ❤️🐴💕🐴
This isn’t hate, a lot of people on here are getting quite mean towards you guys. I can see what they’re saying but it’s the way they’re saying it. I do agree the horses need more space. This isn’t enough for them and also, don’t worry about them. Leave them together and leave them to do what they need to do. They aren’t babies this is very normal and yes they will get hurt most likely but it’s them sorting the pecking order out. Xxx
Omg I laughed so hard when Stella and willow go past Sam. 😂😂😂 I cant wait to see y’all sort out the horses problem with each other. Their just being horses so I’m sure it will get better. Love yall
Aww don’t worry Laura. Integrating horses is hard. And this is still a relatively new herd. Storm seems like he play fights a lot, I would imagine that’s why he was always coming in with bite marks and scratches at the last yard. It seems boys are just like this sometimes. They play a lot more than girls, and they play rough. Dynamics can be massively affected by environment too. I used to have 1 gelding and 3 mares. We shared a field with 2 other geldings and 2 other mares. It was a large 7 acre field and after the initial chasing and fighting/playing for a few days, they settled nicely. I loved the dynamic in that field as the two bigger geldings really kept him in his place. Unfortunately the yard closed and we had to move. The field I have now is smaller, he was in with my 3 girls, and surrounding us were 2 other fields all with boys in. To start with all the boys were fascinated by my girls, and Django (my boy) spent his whole time pacing the fence lines and fighting with the boys over the fence. He had massive chunks taken out of his neck. He could have left the fenceline at any time, but he didn’t as he thought it was his place to defend and protect his mares (who couldn’t care less about it all). Unfortunately in the end I had to find a new home for him as this set up did not suit him, and I was limited in what I could do to change it. There were other complications as well. But it goes to show how a simple change can upset the balance. Do not despair though, i think a solution in this case is perfectly doable. I think keeping Finn and Storm in that back paddock, taking them out first in the morning, and giving them their hay near the fenceline, then taking the girls out and doing the same, so they are near each other, but have plenty of escape routes/places to get away. Could Sam maybe erect a shelter from the side of the school so the boys have something to stand under if they want to? If not they should be fine in rugs. Leave them like that for a good few weeks. As time goes on, they settle, see and talk to each other at night in the stables, communicate over the fence etc, they will settle down. If you want to try them all together again you might want to do that at a much later date in one of your bigger fields. I have 4 girls now and 2 of them chase, rear, buck at each other every day at dinner/breakfast time. Other than that they are all happy and settled together. Food is a big trigger for horses and behaviour, so making sure they are not hungry and they have adequate piles of hay (rule of thumb is always one more than the number of horses) helps too. I’d definitely get everyone to wear hats as well for now, just in case. You are doing so well. You know what you need to do, because I hear you saying it :) take confidence in yourself. The screaming etc personally I don’t think is a factor. All of these horses have been around the girls/kids for ages and screaming doesn’t bother them. You could all be completely silent and you’d be getting the same behaviour I reckon 😂 my girls on the other hand would be terrified 😂 I think you have the upper hand there, your gang are getting so bomb proofed :)
Mel Bowell all good here ta! Had to avoid watching the dressage as would have seriously impacted my ability to work all day! Hoping to catch some of the XC and jumping over the weekend though :) Nearly went this year but off to Windsor next week instead :)
Jenny Allport Yes, I’m tempted to go on XC day, but I’ve got a dodgy knee so I find it too much with the crowds and standing, so I’m planning on watching it on TV. Enjoy Windsor, I went to the dressage their last year and a few years ago groomed for a friend who was showing her Andalusian stallion 😊
There’s so cute together I think you should add a larger field because storm obviously loved to get some energy out and it will be a lot better for his muscles if he has somewhere larger to do so, in a small space with that energy and that many horses he good turn quickly and slip easily pulling a muscle and he could hurt the other horses, it would just be healthier for him and all the other horses to have more space to themselves and room to get all there energy out!! Much love I adore your adorable horses and ofc the pony ❤️❤️ Also o would love to make you a new intro if you would ever want one, I’ve been making video edits for years now
It's obivious Storm doesn't want Finn near Stella or Willow xD They will eventualy figure it out, nature usually finds a way. :) Also I wanted to add that I think Storm is a tough player which I think scared Finn? So it's possible that Storm took advantage of that. It's what my horses do.
Awww Willow made the first move! I am thinking Laura never underestimate the power of the mini!! WILLOW!! She started it!! That is why we have a horse field and a mini field that has our 2 minis and donkey! But that wouldn't work for you guys because willow has to be with Stella. Loved the video!😊😊
I think my horse was gelded late because he always gets into the mares business when he is in a mixed field but now he's into a gelding field when he first settled into his new field all the horses were showing my pony his place and were centering around the field bucking but after a week he is now fine and loves the other horses xx!
Hey guys I'm getting a quaker parrot soon and I want to know how you seperated Levi and Dustpan when you owned him? My cats love eating things and allthough I do have a big sturdy cage in a seperate room, is there any more tips?
Have to admit though, you guys are going to have some vids to look back on & giggle at Sam getting spun around by the horses. What's the count, is he up to 3 times now?
I definitely think it’s normal they’re trying to figure out the pecking order in the herd. After some time and once they figure it out they’ll be fine again. If a mare is in heat that can also cause the geldings to be more dominant 😊
I think it’s just the fact he wants to be the dominant one of the herd and cause where they are there all close together so they aggravate each other more
First! Edit: I think the reason Storm is bringing trouble to the herd is because he’s an alpha, and either Stella/ willow are alphas so he is trying to prove he is better. Do you know if he was desexed late? He might be more aggressive because of that.
Storm is fine, all horses will act like this together, The trainer that’s training my horse, her horses do this and it’s completely normal. Her horses are half brothers and they do this all the time. Trust me, storm is still getting used to the new environment and your two new ponies too. He will calm down a little after a while but he will still play around and they will all buck at each other and nip at each other. It’s fine, I promise
What you need to do is let them all out together and then just start doing like yard work or chores when you turn them out. That way your still close enough to be able to intervene if the get too rowdy but still far enough away so you don't excite them. At my barn we let a new horse out with the top boss for a full day before letting an others out. That way they figure out who is going to to be on top.
You guys won’t have to go to the movies again! You have a movie right in front of u. The horses are just like a romance movie filled with action and suspense😂
Love your videos 😊😊😊. Yay can't believe Storm is home. Storm will be happy with his new herd, it will take some time but they'll be a happy herd, or a sassy one, especially with Willow there, she's the boss.😂 Happy that you guys are having a great time 😂. 😁😊 💜❤️ 💙💚 💛🧡 💜🖤 💙💚 💛🧡 💜
My advice is just let them be. When a new horse is added to the field in my barn they all get nicked up but after a week they’ll all be fine. It just takes some time. You can’t keep taking the horses out or they’ll never settle their differences. I know it’s hard to see them fight but if you separate them it’ll never get better. Also they need a bigger field. It’s way too small for all 4 of them. They need at least an acre if not more. I know where I live each horse legally needs one acre of land.
I know that this is off topic but I’m looking to lease a horse and was wondering if there were any websites you like to use when looking for your horses? Love you 😘
Storm was probably thinking “What I though siblings were supposed to pick on each other”. But he took it to the next level!!!! I’m so sorry this is happening to you guys I have a feeling once they figure out who’s the leader all will be fine!! Hope it works out great!! P.S I love your guises videos!!
guys u need to let them be they will learn to like each other and if u want to put 2 in one paddock put stella and storm together but just leave them they will be fine trust me we have 6 horses 2 minis and 4 horses they learnt where they r at in the little herd please take this advice and let them be please
Can you do a tack room tour please!?😀 Also, you should build a run-in shelter for storm and Finn in the boys pasture so you don’t have to mix them together
i know y’all are nervous bc of storm and stuff but that’s just how horses act. even in the wild horses do that. just let them run around and figure things out on their own. they’ll never stay calm around each other if you keep separating them every time they run around and play with each other.
You should put Fin, Willow, Stella together in the arena and the small paddock right next to it and you should put Storm by himself in the grass field and leave him out there for a few days to let him find his place at a new place.
Yeah I agree agree with Lizard in summer and spring mares are in heat , even though their both gelding they will act crazy. This is just a suggestion but what if you put Finn,Stella and Willow in the back temporarily? I also think that the reason Storm is acting super crazy is that he is used to be a underdog in his old field so now that he is in this new environment he's like oh if know one is gonna be boss I will. Also you really need to watch Stella because if Storm and Stella get '💕' it's going to get really dangerous. Love you all ❤💛💚💙💜👍
I just started learning long diversion I’m in grade 5 and it’s hard but I know how to do it now because I’ve been practicing. U should come to Australia me (Latisha) and my friend Laura are dying to met u
Hahaha willow was digging him too!
Hahaha 😂 yes Sophie! Stay away from boys! They bite!!! 💞

Horses will be horses. No matter how slowly you introduce them, they will always try to hurt one another/ play.
I know horses that have been together for years and they still bite at one another
Julie. nelson.horses YESSS!!! AAAAH
STorm will get crazier because he wants friends a long time willl make him run buck jump, storms a great horse
Jumping My Wyatt yes I know Hun I was just saying for now until they get used to each other so storm in the grass bit and the rest where they r now x
Karen Yes!!
Sophie is right about the helmets. My old trainer got kicked on the head and if she did not have a helmet she would’ve gotten killed. This is a mess and dangerous.
I love how Gabby is just standing there when the girls decide to jump haha
Lesson learned: Any horse will trample you if they want something haha! Gotta be quick with those 😂 ❤️
Try not to worry, they will settle down!!
I love love love! When you raised your finger and said storm, stop. And Stella back it up sister. Oh my gosh I love your channel!!
This is just how horses behave. You have to let them sort it out themselves and would be good to provide a bigger area/paddock for them to have more space. Just have patience! Forming of the herd dynamic takes time 🐴
Moona- Back In The Saddle No, they're going about this wrong. The horses aren't safe this way, nor are they, as you saw with what happened to Sam.
Moona- Back In The Saddle YES 👌
Cary Ulmer omg, they have a mind of they’re own, you can’t control their behavior all the god damn time, storm was showing his dominance and that is normal horse behavior ok? No matter how much you introduce them over fence they will still *Bite each other, kick each other, and show their dominance* so leave them. The. God. Damn. Alone
When the herd was getting stirred up Storm wasn’t doing it all but Stella was really telling Storm. You go girl!!!❤️💙💖💜💚
My gelding was in a paddock with a mare that was really sweet but she would never nip him so we could tell he was bored and he would kick when you rode him so we moved him back in his paddock with his buddy’s and the were geldings but we could tell that it was a good decision because he was so good when I rode him but they were nipping him which is how gelding play.
horses don’t feel cold like we do Laura x you need to realise that it’s natural for horses to be outside especially in the rain ☺️
I think why she was worried was because willow started shaking
I think with a little time things will work out. Like you said, Storm is at a new place with new horses he doesn't know. ..Finn and Willow.
So much is new to him and this was only the first day. Remember poor Sabrina when she was the new girl at the barn? She was picked on relentlessly.
If Storm is accustomed to playing rough at the old barn, it's definitely going to take awhile for him to realize/learn things are different now. Hang in there, it will work out, have faith in them and yourselves.🐎☺️
I felt especially bad for Finn too. He had to spend the most time with Storm.
You guys learned lots of lessons today! Yes mistakes were made, but that’s how we learn! Now you are better prepared for the next time you introduce your horses to each other :)
A horse is a horse and that’s all it knows how to be.
💕
I swear Sam always gets pushed aroud😂😂
You learn from every experience with horses. You're family is on a horse journey. Hang on!!
Minis are little fire crackers, Willow's going to run around all the time and set things like this off, she's got a lot of energy in a little body!😂
This is actually good for horses, let them run around and have some fun!
Last video I cried when you brought Storm home and this video I was cracking up. Laura, You say the cutest, funnest things - Omygosh 😂🤣😂🤣 I just love your personality and you always make me smile. I can’t wait to see gabby and Storm ride around the property - Storm looks so happy. I just love the DaybyDay farm because it was built on Love ❤️ 💕

Lori
I just hope this helps for you to know that your not in this alone!
try starting over and introduce them slow like you did with willow and finn. the slow way is the fast way with horses
G1rlGoneGamer Thank goodness someone said this! You're exactly right.
With Storms blanket you might want to tighten the leg straps , especially with all that running around as his legs may get caught
That happens to Beth my horse 16.00hh
Don’t worry about Storm he’s asserting dominance with Finn it will die down when Finn knows his place in the herd they do this with every new group always happens love ur videos btw x
That is how horses interact sometimes, that’s how males show their dominance, they just need space and time to get used to each other
There just getting to know each other. Your doing so well Laura, Gabby and Sophie. Making new friends 😁
are you going to change your intro since now that Storm is home?
Julia Behre and willow is too
@@alyssaparham7429 yes!!👍
Hope everyone gets better keep warm Laura also not to sure if you know how to make a nets with the string that you have got because where I live we use hay nets the mat might be better than putting it on the floor in the stalls also stormy boy is getting a bit big for is boots (idiom) and more dominant so the choices that you made were good Finn looked like he was going to blow away lol 😆 hope you figure it all out and the hoses get well soon x
I think it’s a good idea to keep Storm in the back field and separated. You’re right, he is used to rough play at the old barn with all geldings. Hopefully he will soon understand that the horses at home don’t play like that 🙂
so hilarious, willow acting crazy got your attention while stella just waited for her chance in the chaos haha
I admire Gabby, how calm she was when the girls broke in to the other field. I would have been like omg storms gonna freak out! But she was so calm. You are so good with your horses and I love the way you go about things. I love your channel ❤️💛💚💙💜🖤 Keep up great work!!
Thanks friend!
Much love 😘
Willows cute little jump over the rope was so cute omg 😂
It’s like watching a stallion asserting his leader ship in the herd lol like a mustang documentary XD
Thank you Carrie once again for sharing your excellent tips!
There is so much to learn. :(

Love you guys
❤️🐴💕🐴
This isn’t hate, a lot of people on here are getting quite mean towards you guys. I can see what they’re saying but it’s the way they’re saying it. I do agree the horses need more space. This isn’t enough for them and also, don’t worry about them. Leave them together and leave them to do what they need to do. They aren’t babies this is very normal and yes they will get hurt most likely but it’s them sorting the pecking order out. Xxx
Try putting willow away, stella and finn have both seen storm before so that's probably why they are calmer with him than she is
It is so nice to see all your babies at your house and good luck on your new journey❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Lots of sensible and practical advice 😊
Mel Bowell thanks Mel hope you are ok :)
Jenny Allport Yes, ok thanks, been watching the dressage from Badminton on the livestream today. Hope you’re good too 😊
Mel Bowell all good here ta!
Much love I adore your adorable horses and ofc the pony ❤️❤️
Also o would love to make you a new intro if you would ever want one, I’ve been making video edits for years now
It's obivious Storm doesn't want Finn near Stella or Willow xD They will eventualy figure it out, nature usually finds a way. :) Also I wanted to add that I think Storm is a tough player which I think scared Finn? So it's possible that Storm took advantage of that. It's what my horses do.
Stellas like nope see ya and just pushed sam out of the way and willow was like dont leave me
6:33 he nodded to agree with Laura 😜🙃🤪❤️ love you guys!❤️
This is so funny to watch I love you guys ❤️
Maybe because storm got bitten so many time at the other barn he's decided it's not happening anymore and he's trying to be the boss now.
Stella hit Sam trying to close the door 😂
I think my horse was gelded late because he always gets into the mares business when he is in a mixed field but now he's into a gelding field when he first settled into his new field all the horses were showing my pony his place and were centering around the field bucking but after a week he is now fine and loves the other horses xx!
did you guys get a western saddle
Hey guys I'm getting a quaker parrot soon and I want to know how you seperated Levi and Dustpan when you owned him? My cats love eating things and allthough I do have a big sturdy cage in a seperate room, is there any more tips?
I just wanna say don’t give up on them! this will happen but they will learn! I wish the best for you guys!
Just remember storm is trying to assert his dominance
Have to admit though, you guys are going to have some vids to look back on & giggle at Sam getting spun around by the horses. What's the count, is he up to 3 times now?
I definitely think it’s normal they’re trying to figure out the pecking order in the herd. After some time and once they figure it out they’ll be fine again. If a mare is in heat that can also cause the geldings to be more dominant 😊
Welcome home stormy boy x hope storms settling in ok now love your videos x
I think it’s just the fact he wants to be the dominant one of the herd and cause where they are there all close together so they aggravate each other more
Love it so Much, so happy for you guys to have all your horses home they all look so good and cute🐴❤️❤️
Storm looks so gorgeous
Hi Laura, listen you guys always do your best.It could've been worse and it will get better.Bless you guys
You should have had hem meet with there halters on first and then one at a time.
Love your videos 😊😊😊. Yay can't believe Storm is home.
Storm will be happy with his new herd, it will take some time but they'll be a happy herd, or a sassy one, especially with Willow there, she's the boss.😂
Happy that you guys are having a great time 😂.
Thanks iris
i feel like storm will be better when u guys get them in the bigger fields
I know it's happened now, but i would recommend extending the paddock to give them space to run and getvused to each other.
guys u need to let them be they will learn to like each other and if u want to put 2 in one paddock put stella and storm together but just leave them they will be fine trust me we have 6 horses 2 minis and 4 horses they learnt where they r at in the little herd please take this advice and let them be please
Can you do a tack room tour please!?😀
Also, you should build a run-in shelter for storm and Finn in the boys pasture so you don’t have to mix them together
So lucky we have all of our standardized tests over the next two weeks
Please do a video of you setting up the camera and leaving the horses to see what storm does
They are just figuring out who's the leader just leave them be😊
Aoibhín Clarke I completely agree
You should get sheds for the fields so they can stay warm and dry❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The horses are simply just determining domenence
i know y’all are nervous bc of storm and stuff but that’s just how horses act. even in the wild horses do that. just let them run around and figure things out on their own. they’ll never stay calm around each other if you keep separating them every time they run around and play with each other.
You should put Fin, Willow, Stella together in the arena and the small paddock right next to it and you should put Storm by himself in the grass field and leave him out there for a few days to let him find his place at a new place.
Storm is really playful and the other horses aren't used to it, remember at the older barns he was pricked, playing, and running around.
Is the willow yours
