I agree. I think the issue is that the prem is a lot more competitive than other leagues. Chelsea have comfortably been the third best team in the prem the last 5 years but it feels like arsenal and Tottenham are slowly improving and they've been building for the future as well. The other issue is that Chelsea won the ucl with a rather young group up front. The plan was to grow those guys into world beaters but they've all pretty much stalled in their growth or regressed. So it feels like Chelsea needs to rebuild anew or find a way to get those guys to improve or they could look around and miss ucl football. Barring injuries I could see arsenal and Tottenham giving Chelsea a big run for the 3 and 4 spots. Arsenal is young although Tottenham is not they're more stable. HK and HS have another few years probably so they'll have time to rebuild up front slowly. Chelsea just feels a bit desperate which doesn't mean they made the wrong move but feels like there's a higher chance of error. And a batch in the epl can lead to years of incompetence on the field
