There are a lot of young Ukrainian women and men in London. Even in Yorkshire as well. I appreciate your views on Ukraine Wyvern. The main reason I was skeptical about supporting Ukraine was because all of the mainstream media outlets in the UK support Ukraine. And I find it's usually a better idea to hold the opposite view to the Guardian and the Independent! But seeing your content has ironically, made me hold the same view as the Guardian! I follow the Traditional Britain group, and it is possible that they are either funded and / or plain wrong about supporting Russia and their Tajik army!

You're welcome mate. Sure, fact is not all of those young men will have left during the war. There's been Ukrainians working all over Europe, especially Poland and Germany, for years before 2022. Though it is true that some may have managed to pay their way out, or found some sort of educational application / contract of employment, that then gets approved. Latter is possible, but not easy.

@@wyverntheterrible Ukrainian people in UK get special monetary benefits as well, specifically titled: Ukrainian Refugees. It is more than other groups, but I don't know the exact amount. They told me it was good though! I'd much rather have them than Africans or Bangladeshis etc.
On a separate note, I met a Russian Ukrainian guy abroad years ago, who fought on the Russian side in the earlier Crimean invasion. That made me a bit biased I suppose, as he said Ukraine was pathetic, and he left Ukraine to serve in the Russian forces as a mercenary. But I guess he was the exception, and not the rule.

I strongly believe that the guy behind TBG is the same guy behind smash cultural marxism few years ago. I remember when he commented on my page back in the day, arguing with me about poor palestinians and all that third worldist crap. The phraseology, rants and obsession with anonymity are virtually the same.

I guess he is nothing but a loser who never worked a day in his life. Maybe he doesn't receive money from the Kremlin, but he definitely would love that and since he offers his services for free all this time he's by definition a useful idiot. A loser who surrendered his country to the rest of the planet, therefore all other European people must do the same so we can be equal in misery. In simple terms, he's a crypto-bolshevik.

No idea tbh. Do you mean Lauder-Frost? I think he's been around and visible in right wing politics in one form or other for years. He's also not anon, far from it, he seems to love being front and centre.

"IMO Ukraine cannot win. Not without formal Western intervention."
Sound argument for formal Western intervention there by the "Traditional Britain" group.

I saw an article by The Herald saying how Greg Frost 'has worked with monarchists and nationalists in Russia for 20 years' and once tried to set up a Harrods type tea shop in St Petersburg while he was working with a Russian company (he didn't mention which company in the quote). The Russia connection keeps growing for Mr. £111,000 Embezzled.

@wyverntheterrible Also unsurprisingly his chosen PhD subject was 'The last fifty years of imperial Russia.' (He read modern history at Oxford). So he dedicated three to four years of his life studying modern Russian history; he's done political 'work' in Russia for at least twenty years; he wanted to set up a shop business in Russia; and he campaigns against war with Russia.
There is a pattern here somewhere but I just can't see it.
Another thing I found was that he had some social media abuse case where he was fined £500 for breaching race hate laws in an argument with a student Isodora Sinha. One thing he wrote was: "As the KGB say, you are on the list. Don't get too comfortable."

Not going to take sides here, but note that 'our' so-called democratic nonproliferation norms are the only reason the Ukrainians as a large resource and technology-rich nation couldn't deter both Russia and even 'our' more subtle interference. As you outlined, from a Machiavellian perspective it's good to stimulate our arms industry here; but let's not pretend 'our' government isn't as happy about grinding away the most patriotic Ukrainians as it is about doing the same to Russians directly. Chabad is bad, but so is Tikk'n Olam.

Indeed, in cold light of day. But fact remains that having given Ukraine military protection guarantees, for doing so, the West can not just say 'yeah sorry, but we're a bit skint right now, so yeah, not gonna bother honouring our agreements lol". It would be an absolute joke on the world stage, and could never be trusted by any other partner. This is, of course, never mentioned by the pro-Russian brigade in the West. They want the West to just renege and go back on their word.

@@wyverntheterrible I think the west doesn't give a fuck about Ukraine. They just wanted to use it as a staging post not caring about the consequences. The Neocons merely want the end of a nationalist Russia.
