Army vet here. I always carry chopsticks with mre’s. I use them to stir the ingredients because they reach all the way down to the bottom corners.

On actual Mountain House egg meals it reccomends that you pour off any liquid before serving.

I always use less water with egg meals and let them set for additional time, they’re still hot from the boiling water. You were hungry.
