Much as I loved the Void-Oids, you can see why Tom preferred Fred Smith on bass.....

Hell and Lloyd both high on smack. You can see how frustrated Verlaine is. Richard Lloyd doesn’t even want to rehearse. “You sleep all day and then when it’s time to rehearse you just want to keep sleeping.”

I can see why they didn’t want DeeDee in the band.

I don't know, man. It sounds like Lloyd is (understandably) kind of pissy because his guitar isn't there and he would rather rest his pretty eyes than go through the Sisyphean task of trying to teach the ding-dong on bass something so simple that somehow will burn half the day away. Verlaine is a saint. As for Lloyd and the rest of us- well even Mother Theresa and Gandhi would want to be riding the white horse through such a lorry load of demoralization and tedium.

What is up with this idea that everyone is always on "smack". I suppose they could be, but there's no real evidence of it. It's like this ridiculous assumption that in every Replacements video that exists, they are always drunk off their asses. Clearly, on numerous clips, they are tight as hell and definitely NOT drunk.

@@Anand-o7e Hey, I'm not saying they never did it. It's just that they are showing no signs of it in this video, so the implications are a bit silly.
