    I bought this cabinet almost 2 years ago. Mine actually has the covered filter motor but other than that looks the same. It’s a great cabinet, however I did not do enough research before purchasing, we are a small manufacturing business and totally underestimated how much we would actually use the blaster, we work the dog out of it and we have run through a few parts keeping it running, this isn’t the fault of the machine. We will be upgrading soon but one point that is very important, the customer service from Redline, it’s been outstanding, they have everything we’ve broke in stock and shipped out very quickly, the support guys are very friendly and stay in gauged until our issues have been addressed. I can’t say enough good things about Redline service and as for this particular machine it is a work horse but if your working if 5-7 hours a day be prepared to clean the catch bucket every 3hrs or it’s a bear to unbuckle and hold up at the same time, also there is no back flow on the filter so that too needs to be removed and manually blown out and cleaned every 3 hrs. When comparing this to the 25k units you can decide if the huge price difference vs cleaning requirements is worth it. We have our guys shoot for 2.5 hrs, take a break, clean the machine then work another 2.5 and clean again then call it a day. So we get 5hrs of blasting done which works for us. I might mention the parts we have gone through, air hoses, window screens are kind of a pain, door shocks, the pressure pot block valve, air regulator but again a quick call to Redilne and they had what needed in the mail and to us with in a few days.

    Could someone help me, is this suitable for doing sandcarving?

      Very much so however it could be too aggressive. You would need to hold it further away or decrease the pressure and media flow to dial it in.

    What can i trouble shoot if my pressure guages build up, and as soon as i use it- drop to 50 and keep losing pressure

      This part below seals your tank. If it loses pressure quickly as soon as you start blasting, it's quite likely this gasket has met it's maker

      When it says I should be able to see the mushroom from the top of the machine, should the mushroom be firmly pressed against the bottom of the funnel or just visible?

      @@Parkerparadise When the foot pedal is pressed, you should see the mushroom gasket move upward and seal against the bottomside of the funnel.

    What is the most ideal blast media and grit to use with this cabinet?

      I really like this stuff in the 40-70 grit.

    I have a Grimmer schmitt screw compressor with a 4 cylinder kubota engine putting out 100cfm at 100psi. Will that work properly with this unit?

    We just hooked ours up. Already we are 3x the speed production wise. Still to be determined on longevity of media. One thing that I feel is missing is a trap door to easily remove the media. Unless you remove the pressure pot itself (remove a number of bolts and let it fall out), or using a vacuum to suck out of the hopper, or blasting into a tub to collect the media, there is not an easy way to do it. Most syphon style blasters just have a hinged door on the bottom that allow gravity to remove it. Is there a trick or easier way to do this on this machine? Seems inefficient, which counters the purpose of a pressure pot. Our current idea is to cut a hole at the bottom of the hopper just above the pressure pot and create a swing door that would allow the media to fall out into a bin. Suggestions? Definitely needs to be looked at in future models.

      I just emptied mine this past weekend at home. I just connected 2 x 10ft pieces of plastic conduit, ran the conduit out into the yard, stuck the hose in there, wrapped it with an old tee shirt and tape, and then blew all the media and dust right through the tube and into the yard. Worked great. If you don't want to do that because you're in an industrial park you can just remove the access door bolts on the side of the pot and scoop it out manually. Honestly though, you generally will just add media over time and never actually clean out the pot. I only clean out the pot if I'm changing medias, which is rare. Thanks for your business!

      @@RedlineStands We use a lot of coarse glass on stainless so it pulverizes and needs to be changed often. The surface is cosmetic, so when the media is too 'dusty' it changes appearance and can no longer be used without sifting. We also switch between glass and garnet often as well. So change over of media is a factor for us.

      I don't follow. At 3:09 you can pretty clearly see the hinge changing from brown to silver. You might not necessarily be able to see the media, but it's pretty obvious we're blasting and doing it quickly.

      It's similar no doubt. The biggest difference is the vacuum system. The Redline unit is far superior as far as dust collection goes.

    Not enough vacuum at least on the demo.

    • @RedlineStands
      @RedlineStands  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We've done a lot of testing in terms of vacuums, types of media, size of incoming air inlets, etc. It's been our experience that more than anything, the type of media you're using will drastically determine if it's extremely dusty inside your cabinet or not. For example, we find that crushed glass is far....far dustier than 10X. With that said, if the customer finds that he needs more vacuum power, there's nothing stopping him from installing a second unit, linked below. I hope this helps.
