    I like the constant reminder that Dax, Kristen, and now Monica...that we shouldn't put them on a pedestal above us. They're human just like us, they feel pain and struggles the same as us...and yet because they are put on this pedestal they feel like they can't be human, like they can't be just like everyone else and have the same struggles. But I love how Dax and Kristen have always just laid it all out there..and not been afraid to share the hard stuff of live, and make it clear that they're just two married people in love, who wanna raise there kids right, and have jobs that they really love. Jobs that just happen to shine them constantly in the spotlight.

    I think they got better. This interview came out 3 years ago when I guess they were making a splash, so hence, but I wasn’t digging it. Now, I’ve stuck my toes back in the water and have dove in and am swimming around because they really are good.

    Dax gives off Joe Rogan vibes which could be why the show is such a success because the questions come from a place of actual wanting to learn versus "gotcha" questions that journalists tend to swing at their interviewees. By far more vulnerable and relatable which I appreciate.

    Dax is great and all.... But he's a celebrity. How about promoting some podcasts that aren't run by famous people interviewing only other rich or famous people?

    • @JeanineBruen
      @JeanineBruen 3 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      His podcast has nothing to do with celebrity. Dax has talked more about his regular human struggles like abuse and addiction than anything else, and with strikingly raw honesty. it's one of the best podcasts I've ever listened to and both Monica and Dax are some of the most gifted conversationalists alive.

    • @shesadg1
      @shesadg1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Did you totally ignore Monica in the interview? Positioned as an equal voice in the podcast, not a celebrity? FYI - the podcast has many academics and/or NOT famous people. They didn't show that on the CBS story, but they picked recognizable guests to make the story reflect their success.

      @@JeanineBruen I'm very very aware of his podcast themes. I e listened to it a LOT. I'm happy about his mental health coverage & life experiences. But he does not need the promotion at all. That's my point. There's many other amazing mental health and being human podcasts that deserve to be spread. Dax has all the listeners, fans, plus fans of his wife and deals with Spotify. He also does interview mainly big names. No need to be on tv in my opinion. Nothing wrong with his podcast at all. Just promoting it.

      @@shesadg1 I've listened to the podcast. I did for years! I'm aware of it's guests and themes. My point is DAX DOES NOT NEED TO BE PROMOTED ON TV. other non famous people with amazing mental health pods just as good as dax's deserve the news spot! Dax has been on for YEARS. That's my point.

    Great podcast, but lets be honest, it's a celebrity interview mill... just a good one. Also Gale's comment about everyone has problems... just stop...there are people out there with problems like food insecurity and homelessness.... celebrities are not experience that or even half the things regular people are going though... that kind of sentiment 'we all put on our pants one leg at time" is really is irksome.

    • @clara8793

      Maybe these celebrities don't deal with issues like that now but many of them did at one point. Many of them have had "real problems" as you say. And I agree, we shouldn't be comparing who has bigger problems, that's not gonna do anyone any good
