Do these fighters even train before they fight? I understand they are not professionals but this is a disappointing fight to watch. The fighter name Ankit seems to have better trainers at his corner. He will improve going forward but the other fighter needs to change camp and start training at a better gym with a better coach and sparring partners. His cornerman was pathetic.

Matsung don't be over confidence...you spoil the song title buffalo soldier...try to know n learn your opponent weakness and defensive strike..you need to train more on ground play...overall it was good fight..train hard n stay strong.
I hope one day our Indian brethren too compete on international arena of events like UFC competing with those alike of conor mc Gregor or khabib. I think everything is fine as compared to international events but the room for improvement of stamina is very needed.

Neither fighter made a strong case for the win. Matsung had great takedowns but was unable to get ground control and his striking was strictly single hits only. His entry with the takedown should be with a overhand feint or overhand counter off the opponent's low kick. Around the 8:51 mark Matsung had him down with a leg kick but failed to capitalize. On the feet, Negi was slightly better with some good hits but he too throws very predictable combinations. His jui jitsu is just enough to keep him out of trouble, he had the guillotine several times but could'nt sink it in or finish. No feinting , no feeding fakes or even head movement at times. mATSUNG should have taken him down, held him down by wrapping his legs and delivered some ground and pound. Overall Matsung is the fighter with more potential here, explosive, very strong, good stamina and fighting spirit. His ground game need to improve with guard passing and retention. His hips are too damn high while on top. That said the coaches are yelling out instructions in English. They want the opposite corner to understand their gameplan or something???? Use Nagamese, use Marathi. They gave away half the fucking fight by yelling out instructions in English. That said I see potential and room for improvement from everyone. Lets go India.
