I operated a 1998 50M HLA for over a decade.... reliable and strong it's effectiveness on scene was unparalleled and can be directly proportional to operator proficiency suggestive of dedicated operator exclusivity therein, albeit, incidence of repair records can also be reduced to basically nil by doing so.

To be honest brontos suck and they always have issues are are out of service about just as much as they are in service. They have more interlocks than a traditional ladder and are heavily overloaded with electronics. They definitely have their issues, but I will say that when they are working nice, they are doing just that, working nice. They are heavy as heck. E-one Bronto weigh over 90,000 lbs.
