As right now while we're in lockdown here in NZ I'm planning to head out for at least 10 days in my tinny fishing and camping once we're allowed back out on the water.
Beautiful area down there. Last time we launched from Alexandra I got turned around when we were fishing and took off in the wrong direction when it was time to come back. Got almost down to the estuary before I realised! Good job we had extra fuel on board. We used to fish down there all the time but haven't caught a lot in the river in recent years. Down through 'The Sticks' was once great for nice tarwhine and tailor. Great content as always but really love your intros.

Hey legends, another awesome show, perfect for my 5am Saturday morning yeeeew, tip i do for eskys is frozen 4L or 1L water bottles, there free and take longer to melt, i put em at bottom of esky and they last 4days, then last servo of trip 1 bag of ice just for drinks, and don brake ice up, leave it solid.
But loved this style of edit well done legends yeeeeew 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

Lads best way for ice is to use 1ltr milk cartons freeze into blocks then as you need em smash em on the ground an put over the brewskis last 10 times over that hollow shit and if your really strugglin salt the shit an old lady told us that 1 when we were young going to her shop everday too buy ice🤣 love the vids keep up the good work

Nice one guys. We do the ol Tinny camping too but never been upstream past Sues Bridge on the Backwoods (by boat), so all new for me. And a big thankyou for giving us something to watch during lockdown, very much appreciated. Trailer for your sharkbay trip is a good idea. One tip I'll offer is to check all the tyres and if they are old and/or have any signs of age cracks, ditch them regardless how good they look. You'll need to run low pressures to protect the trailer and whatever is in it and they will fall apart quick. Can get something near new on gumtree be safer. Check trailer suspension and put a spanner on the bolts holding the shackles and leafs in place, they'll probably come loose, but no issue if you check em a couple times, atleast when you get in to camp and then when you are out again. alternatively, get a white paint marker and just put some witness marks on the bolts & nuts you want to check. If you call ahead to Tamala Stn, you can probably get your water there on way in to save carting it all way up. Keep up the great work!

I put my esky in the chest freezer the night before for my last trip. Seemed to go well. If you have one might be worth trying instead of bottles to pre chill.

u should unplug ur fuel after running it with fresh water to stop the old fuel problem (while its still running, not bad for the engine btw) and it not pumping water happens all the time its most likely little bits of salt

Great vids i just found you recently and am enjoying your footage and the fun you guys seem to have. Mentioning the Avon Descent the power dinghy club that races that also do several races on the Blackwood including one on the long weekend in September that goes from Bridgetown to Augusta over 3 days.

Use block ice mate lasts heaps longer , I freeze mine in water bottles so when it melts you can use it as drinking water

a word of friendly advise lads,when packing your clothes,bedding,even non refridgerated food etc pack it in water tight sealed containers like home brew beer kegs as they have rubber seals, but drink the home brew 1st lol.and they will float cheers lads regards kerry
