Very important they hold a lot of weight. and for some people who are very nervous at an exam, they can literally explain that they are very nervous and read their personal statement.
I was just denied for this very thing I have a right hip service connected which has caused me to favor my left side which has caused advanced titibular degenerative osteoarthritis to my left ankle. The reason I was denied the C%P examiner blamed it on my age. 38CFR4.19 clearly states that age can not be considered in deciding a compensation claim.
In that case, file for a higher-level review, if you have it in writing that the examiner blames it solely on your age, and not during military service.

Not everyone, however, to your point, it is a natural occurrence with no needed trigger. That doesn't, however, void that arthritis can be onset due to trauma. If a correlation can be shown that there was trauma to a specific region of the body during a specific event, then it can be assumed to have been the trigger for the onset of arthritis, and hence service related.
@erikipf well I have a curved spine and my hip is going and my knee is going on the same side on my right side and I think that's causing a lot of pain too and my stomach always feels really tight around my midriff all the time like like it's 10 stop all the time it feels like I got a charlie horse going across my back
Who Can they put a claim against? Yeah if they get it from a injury that was caused when they were at war or something. My job fell apart in 2008 and I can't find any of them they're no longer exist they won't bake app and Check all my Money Everything everything I Saved and 401 they stopped Everybody from selling their stock and they stole Everything and that was it and I busted my butt in there man I'm in lifting 40 bound boxes All The Time I built fixtures and walmarts for music videos software and all the scanning of all the music cause that's in CD's and Everything you Know you're very very grueling a lot of work and I was being on the High floors and the stores Yeah my body shot and I'm only 60 and this started going down 4 years ago 5 years ago like I just fell apart I'm falling apart.

I have arthritis everywhere, I wasn't in the VA. Everyone gets it as you age. I was in excellent shape 4 yes ago, now I can barely walk, chronic pain.

@@bonniej0 Are there records of this before military service? What could you possibly attribute the curved spine to from your military duties?

Actually I did have a motorcycle accident back in 2001 and I've had 3 surgeries but I guess cause I I'm not a veteran I can't claim anything,😅😂
